Cracking tasting brew, best of all for me as a newbie is that when you pour from plastic bottles, you get 99 percent out without sediment, its a winner for me!

Cask. A whole pint! Hoste Arms, Burnham Market, Norfolk. Clear, deep chestnut brown. Thick and creamy, lasting, beige head. Good looking beer. Nose has steeped vine fruits. Some fruity dark chocolate. Some bonfire toffee. Taste has a lightly astringent, vinous bitterness, but is mostly toffee sweet. Light body. Low carbonation. Tangy fruit to finish.

Cask at GBBF’17, day three, 10/08/17. Light black with a decent tan cap clearing to a swirl. Nose is earthy fruits, cocoa powder, light spice, dark malt. Taste comprises toffee, cocoa powder, tobacco, dried fruits, light spice, plummy notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, drying close. Ok but expected a little more from a ’classic’.

Sweet grain malts, molasses, caramel, dark fruits, raisins. Clear brown, small, creamy, beige head. Medium sweet. More dark, sweet malts, molasses, dried, dark fruits, blackcurrant, prunes, soft carbonation, medium bodied. Alright Old Ale, not quite as rich as hoped for. Cask at GBBF17, Kensington Olympia.
