COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Jai Alai India Pale Ale pays tribute to the original extreme sport. Jai Alai, a game native to the Basque region of Spain, is played on a court called a fronton. Jai Alai players attempt to catch a ball using a curved mitt, whilst the ball travels at speeds of up to 188 miles per hour! Proving they have a sense of humor the Spanish dub this game, with its ball traveling at race car speeds, """"the merry game."""" Tampa was once home to a busy Jai Alai fronton but sadly all that remains of Jai Alai in the Tampa Bay area is this India Pale Ale that we brew in tribute to the merry game. The India Pale Ale style of beer has its roots in the strong ales sent from England to thirsty British troops in India during the 18th century. To survive the journey the beers needed more alcohol and more hops (which act as a natural preservative). This “big” brewing practice made India Pale Ale one of the first """"extreme beers"""" and a favorite among the Queens military men in India. Eventually it became a favorite style of the new crop of American brewers seeking more flavor and complexity than mass-market brewers were willing to offer.

rodsquad (637) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - DEC 9, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 9, 2018 Can from Noble Hops. Another amazing looking beer from Cigar City. Tall fluffy lightly yellowed head sat on a hazy, soft amber liquid. Lots of citrus and pine with sherbet a nice toffee malt. The taste is fruity up front with a silky toffee then a tidal wave of pine and leaf bitterness. It's unbelievably bold in the West coast vein but fantastically drinkable. It's a Soft, oily full feeling beer with a moderate-to-soft level of carbonation. A superb West Coast IPA that's right up there with Cannonball in hop Pickering brilliance.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2018 Pours dark golden, medium head. Aroma is citrous, fresh, pine, zesty, herbal, tropical. Flavor is hoppy, herbal, grapefruit, lemon peel. Satisfying and aromatic bitterness on the sweet malty backbone.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2018 From can. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is crisp grapefruity and peachy hops. Smooth mango and peachy hops fruity. Mild peachy and citrusy grapefruity. Bitter and yet slight sweet flavoured. Dry and bitter finish. Lasting fruity impression.

PITOPIETHO (256) - POLAND - NOV 30, 2018

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2018 355ml can. hazy orange amber with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of orange, grapefruit, pine, malts. Taste is citrusy, orange, grapefruit, piney, caramel, sweet malt, but quite a bitter finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. A classic.

Grapefruit and lemons in aroma, also pine. Hazy amber color with medium sized white head. Juicy, sweet, grapefruit, melon, resiny, pineapple, maybe some mango. Medium to full body, soft carbonation, kind of oily. I was waiting so long to find this one. Totally worth it. Fresh, canned month ago. //can from Beermoth

Served at Crystal Palace in Disneyworld. Aroma of pine, soap, and citrus. Large head with foamy bubbles and good retention; orange golden appearance. Flavor: delicious; citrusy bitter. Reminds me a bit of Sculpin. Excellent IPA; very well balanced.

A sweet citrusy malt aroma. A hazy golden body with a bubbly long lasting and sticky head. The taste is a smooth sweet malt with a hint of citrus fruit. Smooth and silky with only a modest amount of bitterness.
