jase3812 (263) - AUSTRALIA - FEB 15, 2020UPDATED: FEB 15, 2020 This years version is more coffee flavoured than last years chocolate. A strong flavour that almost takes this from a stout into DIPA/IIPA territory with the bitterness of coffee not hops. Tonight this is a 'new job celebratory' beer and a mid week night cap so it's all good

beerplace (8815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 18, 2019UPDATED: JAN 18, 2019 330ml bottle at Matt's.
Appearence: very dark brown with a beige head

mcberko (41809) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 18, 2019UPDATED: JAN 18, 2019 330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out cracked black pepper, light spiciness, and medium toasted malt. Flavour reveals medium toasted malt, with a little spiciness and black pepper. I'm not too convinced by this -- the spicy, peppery character is a bit off-putting. Pleasant overall.
