Draft at Le Saint Bock with Andrew, Brendan, PJ, Street and Ricky. Pours a light body with white lacing. Aroma is full of spice, sweet malt and clove. Mouthfeel is medium with notes of zesty spice, grain, yeast, clove and bready malt. Not a big fan of this one.

[email protected] - quite clear dark brown beer with a poor head retention; aroma of prunes and toasted malts; pretty sweet, fizzy; short aftertaste of dark fruits and caramel - pretty strange

On tap at the brewpub. Pours a dark red and brown color with a medium beige head. The aroma is sweet fruity dry malts, some caramel and kiwi. The flavor is a nice fruity brew; dark fruits, berries, caramel, dry, quite warm. Nice.

probstblueribbon (3790) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 24, 2010
Sample at brewpub. 18DE10.

App.: Deep ruby mahogany with a tan rim. Aroma: Some nice caramel and raisins, esters, like their other brews, a bit messy. Palate: Medium body, fine but aggressive effervescence. Flav.: Quite fruity with some bright tang, caramel, burnt sugar, dark dried fruits, esters, fair; somewhat sweet with balancing tang and bitterness and a pleasant, rich malt finish.

Draught, 11.5% at the brewpub. OK roasted aroma. Seemingly clear dark brown colour. Very small head. The flavour starts off roasted and alcoholic. There is a good spicy note, then a vinous finish, also rather sweet. A flavourful beer, but quite rough around the edges.
