Originally labelled as Chocolate Tom. Label was changed to read Old Tom With Chocolate circa 2011.
Old Tom with chocolate is an indulgent rich combination of Robinsons’ award winning Old Tom and the finest cocoa. It is a superior full bodied strong ale filled with the flavour of ripe malt and velvety smooth chocolate teased together with an inspired touch of Madagascan bourbon vanilla.
Chocolate Tom is a deliciously indulgent addition to the Old Tom range, with a recipe developed by Robinsons and the renowned chocolatier Simon Dunn.
With a distinctive ’natural’ milky sweet chocolate palate balanced by underlying hop and roasted malt characters, Chocolate Tom is a superior, rich and warming speciality beer with a dark mahogany colour.

Bottle Bit barrique notes on nose with some chocolate. On a tongue it has sticky texture, smokey, sweetish. It's okay.

Pours an opaque brown, with a decent tan head. Aroma is malty and sweet. Tastes of malt, chocolate, and vanilla. This is smooth and drinkable. Not overly rich, but still a good beer. Thumbs up.

Bottle. Pours murky dark brown with medium foamy head. Some caramel, some lemon, chocolate, some lactose, a bit coffee. Dry bitterness, some sweetness and some sourness. Light bodied, waters texture, low carbonated, dry finish. Not bad.

Tamna amber boja, tanka bijela pjena, srednje trajna.

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2018 Bottle. Cleae deep amber with a great frothy head. Aroma of chocolate and malt with hints of hops in the background. Not as sweet as the aroma suggests. The chocolate seems somewhat out of place in this ale, but it is fairly good.

Bottiglia.

0.33 l bottle from 'EDEKA Preller' (Breckerfeld), bottled in August 2016. Clear, deep brownish red with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish-malty, moderately fruity, slightly roasty and a little vinous aroma of caramel, milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla, raisins and plums. Quite sweet, malty, moderately roasty and slightly fruity taste of caramel, milk chocolate, coffee, vanilla and some dark fruits, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly roasty and minimally woody-dry finish. Medium body, smooth, slightly creamy and moderately effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant beer, very smooth and mild, the original version has more depth though.
