Pours clear amber color with large soapy off-white head, fair lacing and sparkling appearance. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt and slightly tart dried fruitiness, following is grassy, peppery and honeyish, mouthfeel is smooth and warm, while finish is pretty bitter. Full body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Very good Belgian strong ale after quite a lot of time…

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2022 Bottle 0,33L. Courtesy of Jani. Hazy golden color with big, creamy white head. Aroma is grainy, floral, herbal, honey and yeasty. Taste starts light sweet with notes of honey and it's very carbonated. Finish is light to medium bitter, a bit spicy and peppery. Long lasting bitter aftertaste. Full body, lively carbonation, dry texture. Slightly warming.

UPDATED: MAY 3, 2022 Mooie tripel met fruitige elementen van citrus en abrikoos, maar ook hartige van de klassieke gist en de tarwe. Prima in balans. Goudgeel van kleur, de schuimkop trekt wat snel weg.

UPDATED: DEC 22, 2021 Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy golden colour with a thinnish soapy looking white head. Aromas of apricots, floral and herbal with hints of pale fruits. Taste is fruity and spicy with more stoney and pale fruits, lemon, some more floral and herbal notes and a nice amount of peppery spice. Fruit, floral, herbal and peppery spice on the finish. Beautiful balance of flavours. Thin to medium body with aggressive carbonation on the fizzy palate. This is an excellent way above average Tripel i will definitely be revisiting this again.

UPDATED: AUG 5, 2020 From a bottle. Responsible Brewery Detrembleur, brewed at Abbey Val-Dieu. Light hazy golden beer with a thick creamy head that lasts forever. Creamy mouthfeel, well balanced soft taste. Discovered this beer when I was on holiday in the neighbourhood. Very happy I did!

UPDATED: APR 20, 2020 Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a tulip glass. Slightly unclear medium golden colour, tiny yeast floaties, good frothy white head, fair retention and lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, honey, light lemon, yeast, herbal notes. Smooth taste, medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, orange, apricot, light honey, herbal touch. Medium body, creamy to oily texture, average carbonation, sweetbitter aftertaste, peppery on the tongue, bit alcohol, lingering earthy notes, quite good, has an old-fashioned feel.
