22-11-2018; bottle; at home (bought somewhere in Sweden).
The looks of the beer are nice. The color is a nice ruby red/chestnut. The beer is nice and clear and has a lovely reddish glow. On top of the beer there is a nice layer of frothy light brown foam. Foam retention is average. A small drape is left after some time.
The aroma of the beer is fine. It is interesting. There are some malty sweet aromas, not to interesting. There is a nice slightly smokey touch though, which is nice. The hops bring some bitter aromas, some herbal and earth notes. It is not too strong. It has some warming winter touches, but not the sweet spicy winter aromas I expected.
The taste of the beer is fine. Sweet malts, bitter hops, quite balanced. It has something interesting. There is this particular flavour that I can't really define, but it is nice. Not a bad one.
The palate of the beer is also fine. Medium body, smooth texture, high carbonation. There is a slight thin thing there. The finish of the beer is fine. Some herbal notes, some malty sweets, this interesting thing. All in all, a nice beer. Not the sweet herbal beer that I expected, but still nice. Jorn69 (4140) - Ängelholm, SWEDEN - NOV 17, 2018

500ml bottle, many thanks to djoeye. Pours a two-finger thick, fawn-coloured head slowly fading over a bright mahogany coloured body. Firm lacework. Aromas of nuts, caramel and dark leaves. Brittle caramel flavours, mid-sweet, supported by leafy hops leading to a bittersweet malty ending. Medium bodied. Not bad at all (Tromsø 28.12.2015).
