Can, Brewklopedia, Leicester. Very dark brown with an off white foam. Burnt toffee with coffee. Berry. Medicinal. Nutty. Traces of chilli. Decent ESB type brew. mrjaxson (705) - .08 Junction, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 23, 2018
Singed tobacco leaves, coffee, chocolate and milk chocolate in the aroma after a very attractive pour from a can allowed to edge toward room temp for about 15 minutes. Body a little light for a brown. Intriguing sweet and dry finish, with former being more pronounced in first 10 seconds and a soft dryness thereafter. My first Cigar City ale, it having been introduced in the Milwaukee market within the past six months. Consumed less a month after the canning date of 10/24/18. ttoadee (2015) - Austin, Texas, USA - NOV 22, 2018
Dark brown pour, finger plus of khaki head trailing varied lace. Nose is chocolate and nuts. Middle is coco, silky mourhfeel, dark kilned malt, hint of walnuts. Finish is bittersweet toadyed grain, oats really show here. Nice. Mortlach (2986) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 14, 2018
Can @Sam Beer (Rome). Bruna color coca cola, schiuma beige/avorio media, non molto persistente. Al naso note di cacao, zucchero di canna, french toast, frutta secca (datteri). In bocca è splendida, equilibratissima, dolce all'attacco con finale amaro a chiudere, rotonda, compiuta, appagante. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-leggera. Che buona!

From 12 oz can packaged May, 2018 & consumed 11/2018: Chestunut brown with slight lace head; medium carbonation medium mouthfeel with a somewhat boring light roasted malt taste and a slight bitter background note; finishes dry. No toffee, coffee, or chocolate like the can advertizing says; Nothing to write home to mother about.

Can. Pours a dark, dark brown with reddish highlights and a quick dissipating creamy head. Nose is smoke, cocoa nibs, vanilla, cinnamon, and coffee. On the mouth, it's rich and round with savory notes -- broth and soy -- and more coffee. If I have a complaint, it's that it's almost a porter; it's not quite style-correct. Finish is long, dry, and drying. Very, very good. kdm1984 (869) - Missouri, USA - NOV 9, 2018
Served at Black Angus Steakhouse in Orlando, FL. Deep brown color with small head. Great, complex aroma of coffee, nuts, and caramel. Flavor is similar. Lingering aftertaste. Amazing! This and Surly's Bender are far and away the best brown ales I've had. fombe89 (5427) - Asturias, SPAIN - NOV 8, 2018

Color marron oscuro, corona de espuma beige, aromas maltosos, notas a cacao, tostados, sabor maltoso con notas caco, cuerpo sedoso.
From can...Dark brown ruby red with frothy head. Big malt aroma, with lots of toffee, caramel and coffee. Sweet malty taste, with nuts, oats cocoa caramel and cream flavor. Soft carbonation. Very enjoyable.
