UPDATED: FEB 4, 2020 Bomber purchased from City Beer in San Francisco. Deep brown almost black body. Minimal off white head. Enticing nose of expresso, dark fruit, tobacco, toffee, licorice. Quite nice of a sipper. Mouthfeel is excellent. Probably my favorite purchase that made it's way back home. ricke49 (277) - La Pine, Oregon, USA - DEC 10, 2019
UPDATED: DEC 10, 2019 Inherited a cellar aged bottle of undetermined vintage - likely at least 5 yrs old. Damn it’s good. Hits the sweet spot of balanced coffee/chocolate/alcohol warmth, which makes it a ridiculously drinkable nearly 10 abv brew. Wonderful sipper (shared a 22 oz bomber...more like an 80%/20% split - in my favor). Billed as a “lager”....drinks like an Imperial Stout. Midnight Sun produces some remarkable beers. Arctic Devil at the top of the pyramid. Wish they distributed more widely. tmoreau (7309) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - JUL 7, 2019
UPDATED: JUL 7, 2019 Shared bomber poured to a small snifter displaying a black/brown hue, with a touch of ruby highlighting, a decent layer of tan froth, and spots & strands of lacing. The nose was roasted, espresso, cocoa, and dark caramel, with a bit of dark fruit, and a touch of char. Medium+ bodied, with low carbonation, the taste was similar notes, with substantial booze. tightslice (2476) - San Jose, California, USA - DEC 23, 2018
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2018 Bottle from K&L in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is sweet coffee, roasted malts, vanilla. Taste is rich and tangy with some nice coffee and cream coming through. Solid porter. AirForceHops (11653) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - SEP 16, 2018
22 oz bottle carried home from the brewery by Stacey. A near black / deep brown in color. Aroma shows me espresso bean, chocolate malt, chocolate. Flavor shows white chocolate, mild longer used, with a lasting coffee bean finish. Smooth over the palate. Some good roasty backbone. Pretty nice.

22oz bomber style bottle poured into pint glass while relaxing in Anchorage. Pitch coffee black. Full finger tan head that exits the party quickly. Nose is full steam ahead dark chocolate and espresso. Almost brings to mind a cup of coffee on a cool Sunday morning. Taste is rich and smooth... like hot chocolate cooled and served as a beer. Mostly sweet. A little thin but not to its detriment. Alcohol is definitely present...probably the one aspect I would ratchet down a notch. Overall I'm impressed with the quality though. Very enjoyable coffee lager. batneil (1035) - Oregon, USA - DEC 9, 2017
13oz pour at Original Gravity. Very tasty. Quite boozy. Black pour with a brownish head. Really nice. JStax (10651) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 14, 2017
22 ounce bottle from Tavour. Poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a thick black with a khaki head of foam. Strong head retention. Aroma has fig and leather. Coffee complements without distracting from the earthy molasses and leather notes. In the finish, a nice creme brûlée sweetness develops. Big body with a moderate carbonation level. Good stuff. matthewjk (1191) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 24, 2017
This is what well-executed beer tastes like! The rich burn malts, the espresso flavors, the coffee house aromas! It all works! Thanks guys. Sample @ bottlecraft fiulijn (26442) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 20, 2017
Black color, beige compact head. Aroma of liquorice, some roasted malt, light sourness. Good body, dark caramel flavor, moderately sweet, some liquorice.
Balanced, deep, very good.
