Aroma is piney, citrus, hoppy, tropical, roasted, light herb, soapy edge. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, average carbonation. Good. Sunday, October 29, 2023
BlackHaddock	3.6 Golden City Call of Brewery Black Hops V1 16oz can, a gift from a friend who's son is at university in Golden. Brought back to the UK to share. Minutemat and I did so on 18th October 2023. Black body, beige top. Piney hop aroma and taste, later comes a malty liquorice undertone. Decent. Friday, October 20, 2023
minutemat	4 Golden City Call of Brewery Black Hops V1 16oz can shared with blackhaddock in his beer cave. Pitch black pour with a khaki collar atop. Roast and pine coming through on the nose. Good pineyness to taste with some distant liquorice. Excellent BIPA. Thursday, October 19, 2023

Malty and sweet and even though it is 8.6% the body feel was 'thin' and un-Doppelbock like in my opinion and where is the 'ator' at the end of it's name? Saturday, July 15, 2023

Coffee rules the aroma and taste, light coconut flavours arrive as the beer warmed a little, not as exciting as I'd hoped for to be honest. Saturday, July 15, 2023

The nose is cardamom, pine sap, cloves, black pepper, and dark chocolate. Dry and malty, with a good, bracing bitterness. Medium body, chalky, and drying. Solid and delicious. The nose is bright blood orange, grass clippings, orchids, sage, and light bread. Sweet and malty, with a pretty solid, pleasant bitterness. Medium to heavy body, crisp, and biting. NachlamSie	3.5 Golden City Legendary Red Ale can as a gift. This is a really clear beer with a bold color and a firm white head. Quite good looking. The aroma is nutty with caramel, a touch of wet hay/wet dog, and subtle hints at berries. The body is medium with carbonation levels right in the middle too. Sweet flavors of bread and toffee almonds come through. I was expecting an American red ale when I cracked this, but this is clearly European leaning. I get big Munich malt impressions. It finishes clean and semi-sweet. Not much hop character to speak of. It's all about the malt with flavors of nuts, biscuits, puffed rice, and toffee. Thursday, March 28, 2019
NachlamSie	3.8 Golden City Fat Cat Pint can received as a gift. This beer is deep, dark red with a tall head. The aroma is full of malty goodness. Plenty of brownies, toffee, tobacco, basement, spicy wood, and dark fruit are noted. The body is pretty full. Alcohol is mildly present. There's a fair hop bite to balance the bready body. Flavors of caramel, berries, woody hops, tobacco make up the palate. Lots of musty character is in the finish. This has the right amount of residual sugar.
