3.3
Château Faya
500ml can. Hazy, yellow-ish golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Rather unspecific, fruity hoppy, slightly citrusy aroma, a minimally herbal touch, pale malty background, hints of apple, gooseberry, rhubarb, some lemon. Taste is fruity, minimally citrusy hoppy, rather neutral, pale malty basis with very subtle sweetness, notes of yellow apple, some gooseberry, a touch of lemon and lime. Watery-oily texture, slightly creamy palate, fine and soft carbonation. Harmonious and balanced, refreshing, not overly hoppy. OK - especially for its low abv.

Yellow cloudy beer with foam ring. Mixture of all citrus fruits in the nose and some herbal spices. Citrus and tiny sour bits, fruity and spicy taste. Calm aftertaste. This beer is not too special, but a nicely crafted refreshing wit.

Château Indian Pale Ale
Brown-red color with thick massive foam head. Light earthy hoppy nose. Very low carbonation, earthy hoppy bitterness. Light bitter and a little dry aftertaste. Real ale, but I think the beer would have profited from some additional carbonation.

Château White IPA
draught@brewpub - very hazy yellow-blond beer with a long lasting little white foam; correct lace-work; aroma of corn and lemon, citrus; solid carbonation, tart and very bitter, astringent, quite dry and long citrusy and wheaty finish - decent yet the lemony tones look pretty suspicious to me to come only from the hops used ...

Château Blonde
I personally like this place but this beer is a bit weak. It is a mix between a blonde and a ale. The carbonation is weak like some ales and the color is white and troubled. The first impression is in the mouth weak missing like the rousse some hop and it could be more malt, more character. It is an adequate beer with a good pizza of merguez.

3.2
Château Rousse
It is an average beer. The chateau is a famous place in Lausanne to drink a beer and to eat a really tasteful pizza. The color is orange-brown and troubled. The foam is typical from a stout, creamy and white, low carbonation. The taste is a bit disappointed, watery but there is a side of "prune" not bad, missing some hop

Château Indian Pale Ale
It is a classical I.P.A, drinking this beer at the Comptoir Lausanne. The color is copper with thin foam and average carbonation for this beer coming from this brewery that they tend to be low. The taste is in the mouth pleasant and good hop. If you go to this brewey, I recommand to take this beer with the pizza that it is really good.

On tap the at the brewpub. 20/07/2015 one day after the Etape du Tour. Clouded light yellow / straw coloured pour with a fading white head. Aroma fruity apricot, apricot yougurt, peach, perfume, dirty straw. Flavour is composed of peach and apricot fruit, straw, wit yeast, wheat, pergume. Palate is light with airy high carbonation, dry finish. Less of the weird house character.

Château Blonde Yuzu
Draught at the brewpub
Cloudy golden color. Mild aroma of lemon, but also pond water. Weak mouthfeel, and very dry; the carbonation is exaggerated; the flavor is boring, with some citrus fruits; at least it’s refreshing; the underlying beer appears timidly in the end; ordinary bitterness, maybe excessive for this kind of beer; traces of yeast, as usual for this brewery.
Poor Lausanne folks who have to drink Chateau and Brasseurs...

Tap at brewpub. Finger of just off-white head; dark brown almost black color that lightens at teh bottom. Looks like Guiness ’light’. Light roastiness in the aroma, but that’s about it really. Flavor has hints of roast and bittersweet chocolate and almost oat-like flavors, slightly sweet. Lighter body. Not bad, and nothing off really.

Tap at brewpub (served from a handpump, but doubt authenticity). Fairly bubbly white head with a sunflower-orange gold color that’s slightly hazy. Aroma has some flowery and earthy hop aromas and actual dank characteristics as well. Some soapy hoppiness in the flavor with caramel, candied flowers, and unfortunately some butter. Slick body with muted carbonation. Not bad, but off with the butter.

stinky, moldy, metallic hops with a syrupy and sugared crystal malt character. disappointingly bad malt structure. i tend to complain about american IPA being so poor (and so numerous) but if this were all I had on hand, this stuff actually would make me crave such IPA-abominations as surly furious.
