Big Choice Chili Mango Wheat
Slightly hazy light golden with a large sticky and fluffy white head. Big nose of fleshy mango and bready wheaty tones. Brisk flavor thatís got mango and just the gentlest green pepper flavor with no heat, and a smooth semisweet wheaty backbone. Fluffy and quite mango-y with no chili heat but a nice enough flavor.

Big Choice Pinhead Pilsner
Clear light gold/straw hue with a thin, fast-dissipating white head. Semisweet aroma of light golden pilsner malt, a touch of bread and grains, and a light whisper of grassy hops. Crisp golden pilsner grainy flavor thats bready and lightly grassy hopped, but mostly golden grainy and slightly sweet. Near like a kolsch. But pretty clean though.

Big Choice Punktoberfest
Can. Faint aroma of bready malt, caramel and a little bit of earthy hops. Pours caramel colored with a very thin off white head that has no retention or lacing. Starts with sticky sweet caramel as well as a light amount of bready malt. Finishes smooth but a little watery with bread and caramel dominating here as well, however there is a faint note of earthy hops. Ok Oktoberfest, not great on flavor but drinkable enough to knock back a few while watching the World Series last night.

Can. Cloudy amber with a small white head that has poor retention. The aroma is rather weak and faint with some caramel and malted barley. The taste, like the nose, was caramel and grains. The palate was medium. Finish was short and dry. Overall: Not horrible, but not worth seeking out.

Big Choice Pinhead Pilsner
From can itís clear gold and effervescent with a lasting white head. Aroma is lightly hoppy in the way of lemon zest and dried flowers, malty in the way of saccharine and light saw dust with a mild note of fabric, but otherwise itís an enjoyable aroma, though quiet. Light-bodied, lightly sweet, juicy and oily across the middle, a little gelatinous, turning sticky and bitter in the finish with touches of minerals (calcium, sulfur) and lemon-herb Noble hops.

Big Choice Here It Gose Again
12 oz can. Labeled as Big Choice Gose Lime-Infused Sour. Pale hazy yellow color with a small white head that quickly fizzes away. The aroma is rather faint with some lime and grapefruit. The taste, unlike the aroma, is big and bold. There is an abundance of sour limes and key limes. A cookie malt base is way in the background. Some saltiness. The palate is light but effective. Finishes long and tart with a bit of sweetness emerging at the tail end. Overall: Decent, fans of lime will love this one.

Big Choice Here It Gose Again
12 oz can, labeled as "Gose - Lime infused sour". Pours slightly hazy light straw yellow with a big fizzy white head that goes down to a light dusting pretty quickly then disappears completely.

The aroma is sweet perfumey wheat malts, tart citrus and a little salt. A bit margarita like.

The flavor is sweet tart sour limes with a little salt and a lot of sourness in the finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation.

Overall, an interesting lime sour. With the light salt it is a bit margarita like.

Big Choice Punktoberfest
12 oz. can. Pours hazy brown, with a small, beige head. The nose is caramel, almonds and syrup, with an off aroma of cough medicine. Sweet and a little unpleasantly sour. Light to medium body, smooth and creamy, and a little clingy. This is a significantly off beer; this is clearly my punishment for buying an Oktoberfest in January. Hopefully, itís better fresh.

Big Choice #42 Poblano Stout
Can from Bubbles in Castle Rock, CO. Pours dark, opaque brown with light beige head. Aroma of a typical stout, except for the strong poblano notes that are a bit too overpowering. The overall flavor is ruined for me by the power of the poblano. Not for me.

Pint can. Lemon and lime citrus aroma with notes of rum, jerk spice, a bit of chocolate and oak notes. Pours dark brown with a thin light brown head with poor retention and lacing. Starts with lime citrus flavors with a bit of lemon with a hint of rum to go with a light body. Finishes smooth with jerk spice and some chocolate, oak and some booze. Good stout that breaks the definition of a typical imperial stout by being light and refreshing.

Big Choice ApreShred Winter Ale
Can, aged 1 year, deep dark yet clear amber with a largy foamy off white head. Nutty and christmas spice-y aroma with lots of cinnamon/nutmeg, vanilla, chestnut, light booze, raisin, date, perhaps a little apple, and a wee hint of wood. Smooth and surprisingly quaffable flavor with chestnuts, gently boozy amber malts, a touch of raisin, clove, nutmeg, and honey. Really lovely.

Big Choice Obeah Caribbean Imperial Stout
Poured from a can (with a silly top). Pours dark dark brown, basically black, you can?t see through it at all. Little tan head. Lots going on in the smell, BBQ and jerk aromas dominate, but I can?t help but notice a slight clarinet reed smell. Smooth mouth feel with little carbonation. Jerk flavors carry through in the taste, with some smokiness, and a bit of a chocolatey finish. Overall, very well done and unique, the jerk taste of just a bit too much. Very complex with lots going on. A great beer to share and discuss with others.

Big Choice Punktoberfest
Can. Head is initially small, frothy, off-white to light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is moderately malty (caramel), lightly hoppy (apricot), lightly to moderately yeasty (sweat, dough), with notes of prunes, grape juice, corn syrup, plastic. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/syrupy texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. This brewery is apparently still struggling to produce clean products. This isnít even close to a Maerzen, and Iím even skeptical itís a lager. Itís quite dump-bucket-ish in the nose, at a tasting that included fruit beers, and the raw yeast odor is pretty unpleasant all by itself. An unquestionable drain pour.

Big Choice #42 Poblano Stout
12 oz. can. Pours a thin, poorly retained, light beige head, over a clear dark brown (SRM 30) body.....nose is light roasted malts, with cocoa, chocolate, minimal coffee, slight Chile......taste is slightly sweet, with cocoa, chocolate notes from the roasted malts, light chile heat, slight smoke, very slight bitter on the finish......mouth feel, light body, no alcohol, high carbonation. The Poblano was used with a very light hand, and is only lightly present. The malts and hops were also used conservatively resulting in a very light Stout. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6
