Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and consumed at home Tuesday 6th June 2023 we had Linguini with Ndjua and Asparagus for tea and New Music Fix Daily on 6Music with Tom Ravenscroft and Deb Grant. Pours mid gold with a tiny bit of haze, there is an impressive large white head. Nice bite, there is a lot going on here, bitterness comes through well, nice bite, a little sweet edge is soon overwhelmed by the bitterness. Nice soft mouthfeel, very good carbonation, a little flinty mineral edge, citrus, good.

Tap at the Hallertauer Bierfestival weekend, Attenkirchen Saturday 25th June 2022 in the company of Jonas and Ursula. Pours clear pale gold with a super clean white head. Busy bubble action, good Pils, nice bitterness, doesn't finish quite as dry as expected, a little metallic twang. Not amazing but still it's a good beer.

Aka Hopfenfestbier des 5. Hallertauer Bierfestivals 2018, 33cl (MHD?), at KommProbier Langenargen 08/2018. Selected in preparation for the Tettnanger Hopfenwanderweg, BW oblige. - - Pours, smells and drinks like a first-wave German light IPA: brothy murky amber. Sweet caramel and bready Munich malts lay a soggy cake bottom for quince compote, mint and apricot jam to be slathered on. Rougher crystal-like edges. Not the most drinkable at a mere 6%.

0.33 l bottle from ’Bierhandwerk’, best before May 2017. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, moderately fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, pear, peach, some honey and clove. Medium sweet, malty, quite fruity and slightly yeasty-spicy aroma of pear, peach, banana, honey and some clove, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy finish. Over medium-bodied, almost creamy and a bit effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite tasty, unusually fruity for a Weizenbock, absolutely round. Doesn’t have much of the typical banana and clove flavours, but that’s not a bad thing in this case!
