Grumbo	3.7 Green Jack Gone Fishing ESB 10/11/2023. Cask at The Ingate, Beccles. 5.5% abv. Was surprised to find I'd not rated this before. Became Suffolk rating #700. Pours clear deep bright amber with a small frothy off-white head leaving nice lacing. Good looking beer. Aroma is fruity, malty, caramel, slightly nutty edge. Very well balanced. Good body. Smooth. Soft carbonation. Well served. Enjoyable finisher to our time in Beccles. Friday, November 10, 2023

The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a smooth, earthy, light floral, big woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Friday, October 27, 2023
Garrold	4.4 Green Jack Baltic Trader 750 swing top job. Picked up about a year ago from Bakers and Larner of Holt, Norfolk. The conditioning on these 750s is seriously impressive. Clear deep chestnut brown with a head to swoon over. Rich toffee and light roast malt. Sweet juicy dried fruit. Plump is a word that springs to mind. Plump sweet and fruity. Taste follows suit with a vinous bitterness. Super smooth and silly easy drinking. Fruity bittersweet finish. This is getting solodomed. Tuesday, September 26, 2023

This wasn't really very sour, more tangy than anything, had a slight wheat ale note to it with estery banana notes. Pear drops, some hints of clove, some tangy lemon citrus. It's oaky. Martinsh	3.1 Green Jack Mahseer IPA Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a small almost white head. The aroma is mainly hops, plus some traces of generic citrus. In the mouth is bitter with a ccreamy texture, and some underlying sweetness. Flavour has traditional hops, honey and treacle, with later on some peanuts and hints of alcoholic strength. Finish is quite bitter and slightly sticky. It’s OK. Friday, July 7, 2023

There’s summer fruits in the aroma, and these continue in the mouth, but are soon replaced by floral hops as the dominant force. It’s sweet overall, with herbs and some hints of citrus. Martinsh	3.8 Green Jack Gone Fishing ESB Cask at Shrewsbury Hotel, Shrewsbury – at 5.5%. Pours a reddish golden brown with a medium sized off-white foamy head and good lacing. Takes a while to settle but does so eventually. Malts to the fore in the aroma and they are prominent again in the mouth. This time with a creamy texture, an infusion of toffee and autumn fruits. Slight bitterness to start, and this becomes more pronounced with traditional hops and some traces of ginger. This is a decent ESB. Saturday, August 27, 2022
