kdm1984	3.4 Springfield Tangerine Dream Greene Ghost IPA Flavored variant of their regular Greene Ghost IPA. Fresh 6 pack from Farmers Park farmers market; canned just two weeks ago. Aroma of tangerines, oranges, grapefruit, lemon. Taste is same. Very fresh fruit taste; not artificial. Bitterness in finish and especially aftertaste. Some caramel malt in finish, but this beer is focused on the fruit and hops. Decent and refreshing. Feels quite sessionable for a 6.5% ABV beer. Saturday, March 30, 2024
thegreenrooster	3.6 Springfield Double Track Pour is a dark amber with a large white head. Aroma is brown sugar, dark fruit and treacle. Flavor is more brown sugar with molasses. A bit too sweet but the flavors were all going in the right direction. One of the better beers I've had from SBC. Saturday, February 10, 2024

Bif	3.6 Springfield Mayhem Märzen Can. Pours a dark amber color with a white head. Aroma of malt, bit of caramel and grain. taste of light malt sweetness, trace of caramel and grain. Mild bitterness with a fairly clean finish. Moderate body, smooth with a subtle malty feel. Nice. Tuesday, September 12, 2023
coachd	3.9 Springfield Mayhem Märzen Nice combo of spicy hops and malt in the aroma. See through amber colored body with an off white head. The taste has the typical German hops and malt sweetness with a unique smoky finish. The palate slick and just heavy enough. This is good. Sunday, September 10, 2023
phaleslu	3.6 Springfield Missouri Loves Company 12 oz. can from Side Project. Pours a clear gold with a small white head that settles into a ring and leaves trailing lace along with a scattered island of film. Notes of grapefruit peel, sweet malts, herbs, grass, wet hay, tea, resin, and a bit of soap. Light-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a bitter mouthfeel. Good throwback IPA. thegreenrooster	2.6 Springfield 417 Lager Pour is a crystal clear gold with an average white head. Aroma is sweet grain and corn adjuncts. Flavor is again sweet grain and finishes pretty watery. This is about the most macro lager I've ever had from a micro brewer. Saturday, May 27, 2023
Silphium	3.5 Springfield Greene Ghost Clear straw body, thin off-white head. Cerealy, nutty, toasty, piny nose and body, a solid old-school Midwestern IPA. Nothing spectacular here but it hits the right notes. Thursday, May 25, 2023
PorterPounder	3.3 Springfield Oscura 5/18/23 - Springfield, Mo - Brown Derby International Wine Center - 12 oz can. Dark orange-amber pour with a tight bubbly off-white head. Sweet toffee-like aroma. Pleasantly sweet flavor, some brown sugar, molasses, a bit of roastiness. Thick enough mouthfeel for the style. Friday, May 19, 2023

Good bitter/malty balance. Light citrus bitterness. Some caramel sweetness, a touch of nectarine fruitiness. Nicely textured mouthfeel. Sunday, May 7, 2023

Brigadier	3.6 Springfield Tea Pale Ale On tap in Saint Louis A fresh floral pale ale might be the sessionable equivalent of a London Fog (Earl Grey latte). For a regional brewery this one hits the spot with the perfect amount of flavor for a first draft. AROMA / APPEARANCE Floral tea cools the air with a very pleasant profile. Only the tease of soapy notes disappoints an otherwise excellent bouquet. Cool hops also add to the depth of the slippery copper foundation. FLAVOR / PALATE Floral notes highlight the first impression which then eases into herbal tea and spring bouquets. A fluffy airy finish melts on the throat with a pillowy texture. If more breweries made a beer like this I would be happy to try as many as I could get my hands on reasonably. Monday, February 6, 2023

Flavor packs much more punch: sweet and bitter black tea with some spicy hop and bready beer malt. thegreenrooster	3.9 Springfield Bon Bon Tsarry Night Pour is a black with a small mocha head. Aroma is a nice coffee and vanilla mix. Flavor is the same with coffee, vanilla and some cocoa powder. A little barrel and booze hits you next with a thick sugar residue. Pretty fun beer and all the adjuncts came out in their own little way. Thursday, April 7, 2022

beer_rookie	4.2 Springfield Bull Creek Brown Pours a cola color. Maybe a touch of red. Two finger light beige colored head. Okay retention, okay lacing. Aroma is bursting with chocolate, nuts, vanilla. Touch of licorice. Taste is light vanilla. Chocolate, nuts. Mouthfeel is just shy of medium bodied. Smooth, lightly creamy. A bit watery.
