5 x 50 cl tap on U krále Brabantského, Prague. Surprisingly this was a nice beer in a somewhat cheesy restaurant... Clear, golden colour with a big, white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, biscuits, a spiced note and grasses. The taste is sweet. Medium body - good for the abv. Drying, grassy finish. Nice.

Bottle shared by my friend Pavol who visited the brewery a few days ago. Dark color, ruby when flashlighted. Good head, vanished quickly but kept a good lacing. Nose piercing caramel aroma. Taste is caramel, caramel and more caramel plus good roasted malt. Epic dry hoppiness plus tons of walnuts in the finish. Dry hoppy and caramel aftertaste. Overall impressively good!

Aroma has all the czech meadow and sweet dusty grain one expects. About clear golden body, off white head. Tastes czech hoppy, bread, malts, honey note, apple note - semi dry bready finish. Feel; ok body n soft co2. Overall a typical czech pilsener. Found it in Krčma Brabant, Malastrana, Prague.

Long time ago, in a galaxy far far away I have tried this beer... can’t really remember anything but the awesome appearance of this beer and the fact that I liked it a lot. Hopefully I will visit this place again someday.

Draught at the brewpub. Mild roasted aroma. Hazy dark brown colour, hint of red. The flavour starts off fruity, turns a little roasted after a while. Nice enough, but I would have liked it a little less fruity.

draft at pivovar detenice. nose of sweet licorice, metallic semi-sweet plum juice and just overdone toasted bread. medium to full body. chewy, silky, resinous and oily texture with mild carbonation. olive oil and licorice flavors up front develop into some burnt maple syrup and blackened citrus fruit. never had anything like this one.

draft at pivovar detenice. lightly hazed honey gold colored body with a silky fine white head. nose of fresh baked sourdough bread, very green, bit of butter, bit of sulfur, bit of green hops present. dense, green, moderately bitter... tasted like spiced dough (uncooked)... strange beer, could be cleaner. i would say possible infection but open-fermentation in wood... well. enjoyable for sure, tried to like this one, something just seemed off.

On draught at Detenice: Dark amber coloured; thin fluffy brownish head, quickly diappearing; fruity, almost vinous and yeasty nose, shy traces of maltiness; mild fruity, sweetish taste with a tinge of hoppiness; very short aftertaste with some bitter undertones; unpleasant, thinnish brew.........

Strong fruity (lemony) yeasty nose, some hoppy undertones; sweetish, fruity start, quite strong bitter flavour, long lasting hoppy finish, that doesn’t harmonize very well with the distinctive fruity taste. Absolutely not well rounded !

On tap at the brewpub, in 2005 and 2018:

The Lure:
Roasting raisins and seasoning them with tobacco and earth.

The Festivities:
As soft and creamy as a beer can get at this gravity. Flexible roastiness surrounds the dark chocolate and caramel, as humid earth and coffee unite in a lovely bitter undertow. Call it schwarzbier or dunkel, this is a top-notch Tmavy, no doubt.

Transcendence:
So much wisdom can be gifted.

On tap at the brewpub in 2005 and 2018:

The Lure:
Creamy straw and herbal hops as lead violions in a melancholic ballad. Nascent toffee as the bassoon lays the foundation. You can feel from the onset that this one has a soul.

The Festivities:
Smooth toffee trickling down the haystack onto the straw-littered floor. Herbal, grassy hop bitterness rises through the quenching concoction, as a perfectly fit body evokes roundness, a superb feat considering its size.

Transcendence:
The true potion of love is a labor of love.

Draught at the brewpub. Hazy golden with dense, rocky head. Rich aroma of orangey, grassy hops. medium bodied despite it’s low abv, dry and with rather soft maltiness. Really hoppy with very bitter finish and a low amount of butterscotch. The most well hopped Czech beer I’ve had.
