Rune	3.4 Durham Hedleyhope Half-pint, cask ale at Wobbly Duck, shared with Finn. Next-to clear amber body, dissipating white head, upper part lacing on the glass. Inviting on the nose with dusty hops and mid-sweet malts. Fine blended taste of caramel malts, earth, and leafy hops. Drying close, bittersweet. Medium bodied. Nice. imdownthepub	3.4 Durham Pang Wangle Cask conditioned at the Nags Head, Reading, Berks. Hazy gold with white head. This proved to be a grainy, dusty, quite bitter beer from the off. Tangy hopped notes, peachy, quite drying. It's fine. Sunday, March 31, 2024

theprof	3.5 Durham / Torrside Spark of Madness Poured dark chestnut body bubbly lace top. Aroma of autumn fruits with a hint of smoke. Taste is medium sweet plum jam on toast came to mind. mkel07	4.1 Durham Alabaster Bottle purchased from Monte Alehouse and drank on 21 December 2023. This beer looks the goods when poured into one glass and carry’s a modest head of foam atop a copper coloured beer. Big and bold in the mouth with plenty of hoppiness and a strong resinous finish. mkel07	3.8 Durham Saison De Cashmere Bottle purchased from Monte Alehouse and drank on 16 December 2023. While this beer looked a bit flat and ordinary art it certainly didn’t shape up that way in the flavour department. Strong peppery finish tickles your throat and the yeasty floral aromas are pleasing in the nose. Wednesday, January 31, 2024
mkel07	4 Durham Smoking Blonde Bottle from Monte Alehouse, drank on 20 December 2023. You get a hint of smokiness the second you out the cap off the bottle and the smokiness intensifies as you pour the beer into the glass. Big mound of dense looking white foam sits atop a clear light straw coloured beer. Malty flavour with smoked meat thrown into the mix. A great smokey beer. Monday, January 29, 2024

Martinsh	3.7 Durham Friday Feeling Cask at Petersgate Tap, Stockport. Pours almost black with a medium sized foamy head and good lacing. There’s honey and roast malts in the aroma. Pretty much the same combination in the mouth plus hints of liquorice. Later on quite a mix of traces come through – dandelion & butdock, cola, ginger and vanilla. Medium sweet with chocolate and caramel evident but it is not a Crunchie. Thin to medium bodied smooth texture average carbonation and a light bitter finish. Nose is Bounty Bar, chocolate, dark malts, coconut shavings, brown sugar dusting. Taste comprises cacao nibs, light coconut tones, dark malts, mellow roast, charr, raisins, dried fruits. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, a little watery, semi drying close. Smells good, tastes okay, comes over a little overly thin ... it's fine but had a downwards trajectory for me!
