Pale Lager - Hoppy / India (IPL)

The India Pale Lager (IPL) or Hoppy Pale Lager, is generally a decidedly hoppy, moderately strong amber to dark brown lager, showcasing modern American or New World hop varieties. The balance is hop-forward combining a clean lager finish with amplified hop aromas and flavours with very little yeast-derived flavors to conflict with the hops. The key attribute of this style is that the beer is fermented with lager rather than ale yeast like in the classic India Pale Ale. "Imperial" and "Session" variants are occasionally seen and should be listed with them.
