16oz can from Tavour. Near black pour, half finger of foamy beige head. Roasty aroma, bitter, burnt toast. Taste is mostly roasty, light sweetness and notes of dark chocolate. Smooth mouthfeel with a trace of lingering bitterness.

Can from State line. Off the bat.... Maybe the best smoked beer I have ever had. Definitely the best of recent years. Poured into a pint glass. Muddy red hue color. Good head. Great nose of camp fire smoke. Chewy smoke... Taste is malty and smoky. Did I mention smoke? Slight malty sweetness in the after taste. Body is medium, chewy. Overall. Impressed how good this is. Hard to imagine how good on tap this would be?

Can from State Line in Elkton. Looked interesting, grabbed it on a whim. Not disappointed. Poured into a pint glass. Decent head, fades fast. Hazy light orange color, almost yellow. Lots of lacing left on the glass. Wheat base... Huge nose of flowers, coriander, crystal malt, light hops, spices, orange and citrus/pine. Black pepper and ginger.... Body is light, refreshing... crushed this in 3 sips. Easy drinker for 7+ percent beer. Very enjoyable.

Batch 1 bottle enjoyed during the historic Panhandle snowstorm where I got to snowboard in Florida. Pours a deep ruby chestnut with just a ring of bubbles from a high pour. Massive acidic, sour aroma that waters your mouth but also some barrel tannin. Flavor is mildly sour but also some dark fruit and dark malt. Also some interesting raspberry/strawberry sweetness. Insanely good shape for its age.
