Hazy red pour with a thin pink, soapy head. Aroma of berries, lactic tartness, wheat, cereal and rubber. Flavor is berries, green wood tartness, lactic acid, limestone minerality and a hint of rubber. Light body, dry, acidic, medium carbonation. Decent,not great, kinda simple and with a weird rubber overtone.

Taster at the brewpub. Lightly cloudy, pale gold colored. AROMA- fermented, vanilla, spicy, coriander, citrusy, herbal, candied citrus. FLAVOR- neutral, moderately bitter, the same as aroma. Medium bodied. Very good.

El Segundo Brewing Company El Segundo, California

Aromas of huge hops tangerine crystallized caramel ale yeast nectarine and grapefruit. Taste is rose petals hibiscus nectarine tangerine grapefruit pineapple bitter hops dank hops ale yeast caramel and citrus. Overall, super bomb stuff with nice bitterness and bright fruitiness.

Taster at the brewpub. Clear, amber colored. AROMA- decent cherry, sour tones. FLAVOR- neutral, moderately sour, slightly bitter, bacilous sour tones, some cherries. Medium bodied. Good.

Nano Cinco Québec City, Quebec

fresh can that pours kinda cloudy extra pale yellow with a small white cap offering some retention and lacing. tons of flowers and stinging pineapples, chewy grapes, spicy white resins, never too bitter, clean mildly fruity yeast action. moderate carbonation, light body - oily but not juicy; super smooth but lean lightly tropical-citrusy finish. seems a lot less fluffier than baffin but it works really well. pretty solid double neipa anyhow.

On tap at the brewery tasting room in Santa Clara. I guess technically DIPA begins at 8%, but the brewery denotes it as such at 7.9%. Hazy golden orange color. Nice juicy pineapple and orange aroma. Very nice Medium citric acid plus hop burn finish. Excellent.

On tap at the brewery tasting room in Santa Clara. Very nice hop aroma: a little piney and dank + a little tropical citrus. Aroma fades super fast. Lightly sweet malt flavor. No lager yeast off flavors. Pretty good.

FlyteCo Brewing Denver, Colorado

On tap. Pours a clear dull gold with a white head that dissipates nearly completely. Aroma has a good amount of tart lemon with a bit of citrus and a touch of grain underlying. Flavor has sour tangerine and citrus with light grains and lemon in the finish.

Fremont Brewing Company Seattle, Washington

Cloudy rich golden with a foamy white head. Big hoppy aroma that’s fruity and resinous with some leafy oils and wheat and oats and a fluffy body. Smooth and gently boozy pale fluffy flavor with some leafy oils and tree fruity citrusy resins and lingering juicy bitterness.

Bell's Brewery (Lion Co. - Kirin Holdings) Comstock, Michigan

Clear straw body, thick dense marshmallowy cream head. Aroma toasty and grassy with clove and biscuit. Body soft, doughy, with clove, floral, and leafy notes. A touch of copper in the finish. A very nice, easy-going beer.

Transient Artisan Ales Bridgman, Michigan

Slightly hazy medium orange-brown body, thin-medium clumping cream head. Nose toasty with clove. Body initially spicy with lots of clove and banana, quickly dissipating to a bitter copper penny finish that subsides a bit with warmth but is generally off-putting. Hopefully this can be remedied with the next batch, as there's a very good beer here beneath this near-fatal flaw.

quite strong from the get-go, definitely have to sip this or it's instant headache. a good flavor with the small steps but the strength is just too much.

Troubles End Brewing Collegeville, Pennsylvania

Growler from the brewery. Perhaps my favorite smoked beer from Troubles End yet. Really pleasant crisp hop balance. Perfectly clean body, no flabby sweetness, well attenuated and delicious. The oyster tone is mild but there, accentuating the smoked malt tones with a mellow rustic salty seaside note. Really well executed. Awesome beer.

Odd By Nature Brewing Cape Neddick, Maine

Pours black with a one finger, beige head. Aroma is coconut, lactose, cinnamon and roast. Taste is cinnamon, lactose and honey, moving to coffee, coconut and dough. Finish is cinnamon, lactose, coconut and coffee.
