This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a semi-hazy to burnt somewhat golden orange color with a one finger white foamy head that dissipated extremely slowly. Some bubbles here and there inside of the foaminess.
The smell started off with some faded grassy to citrus hops sliding into a crisp sweet caramel malt backbone.
The taste was moderately sweet to bitter through the prior mentioned flavors. Citrusy hoppy to semi-malty aftertaste runs into a dry finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent crisp sweet sessionable feel about it. Carbonation seems decent for the style and to me.
Overall, its a pretty good AIPA. Maybe not one to seek and destroy on a daily basis, but I could have it again. I do have to admit, this almost seemed a bit old, but there’s no bottling date, so, my words stand. Ventanas83 (34) - - JAN 9, 2016
Orange pour clear with some haze. Citrus hop aroma. Taste bitter and green hops defiantly northwest style hops. Great IPA. oskart (60) - Clarksville, Tennessee, USA - DEC 31, 2015
Light amber in color with very little head. Aroma of pine and herb. Some sweetness in the aroma from the malt. Pronounced earthy, herbal flavor. Slight balance of malts with the bitterness of hops. Light mouthfeel with very little carbonation. Lasting aftertaste. Warming and dry. Nice fresh beer. bnoel09 (587) - Elk Grove, California, USA - DEC 14, 2015
Poured from the 12oz bottle into a shaker. Amber almost mahogany color with a cream colored head. Aroma is predominantly citrusy hops. Flavor is bready malt with lots of citrusy hops and some piney notes as well. Medium bodied, crisp, and mildly astringent. Very nice IPA. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - DEC 13, 2015
Flight pour on tap at the brewpub (Bend, OR). Pours a nbice gollden amber glowing hue, healthy gllow compliments a subtle haze and some lively bubbles. Offwhite head atop dies to a mellow layer, thicker ringer with ok lacing atop. Aromas are a bit bitter and biting, some citric grapefruit, firmer to potent florals and decent malty body falls behind that more intriguing fresh hop nose. Initial is sufficiently bitter, the lighter end of medium in body with florals, subtle pineapple and decent bitterness growing on the palate. Earth, green leafy life and florals meet a gentle sweeter body beneath, mixing with sweeter pineapple stale juicy jabs. Some firmer spicy, bitter earthy backend is dry, sufficiently bitter. Less ABV hit than the Joe but that one had a more intriguing hop profile. Fairly drinkable, fuzzy backend and finish. A solid fresher appeal with bitter firmer hops, solid if unspectacular or unmoving nose. Solid stuff

Really solid commercial deScription on this one that lends to most of the tasting notes I would have given it. Resinous but balanced, solid IPA. echudy (151) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 26, 2015
Very strong hop flavors with hints of citrus and malt. Golden brown color, pretty clear. Very strong hop flavor with a citrus and malt after taste. Finishes nicely with a pine taste to the palate snoworsummer (5698) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - NOV 19, 2015
Draft at TnB. Pours almost clear gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like grapefruit hops, resin, caramel malt, some tropical fruits, and a hint of floral. Very tasty. Light/medium body and carbonation. Smells like caramel malt, hop resin, tropical fruits, grapefruit, and citrus hops. PartyFowle (954) - - NOV 14, 2015
Bottle. Pale golden hue with outstanding clarity and a large, fluffy cream-colored cap. Aroma’s a nice blend of floral, citrus and tropical notes. I get a little papaya and kiwi; some honey and chlorophyll; a bunch of pink starburst. The flavor carries much of these sweeter hop notes along with a bit of pininess and a finish of shortbread. Nice, complex hop character in this one. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - NOV 10, 2015
Tap at the brewpub. This is outstanding. Clear golden pour with a white head. Big citrus / grapefruit notes. Hint of dank pine creeps in here as well. Bright palate with a clean finish. Excellent.
