A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade
Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

Bottle shared by Minderbinder, thanks man! Pours a really hazy golden with a small white head that leaves spotty lacing. Nose is of fruits and pine. Taste is moderately sweet and bitter with some dank hop flavors over a caramel background. Body is medium, carbonation a touch over medium and mouthfeel is a bit sticky and lightly juicy. Overall an OK "old style" IPA, I wouldnt necessarily seek out again.

>>> An average but a bit heavy (especially for the abv) IPA.

- Slightly hazy bright golden with a small white head and some lacing.
- Quite perfumy along with citrus and piney hops.
- Moderate sweetness with a good malt backbone.
- A bit heavy for my liking.
- Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. A bit oily. Dry finish.

Flavors: Perfumy, pine, citrus, caramel malt, mild spiciness, herbal notes.

Pours a clear bright orange. Has a citrus and pine aroma. Has a strong taste of citrus hop, fruity malts, and light grain taste. A citrus and bitter hop aftertaste.

Fruity aroma . nice citrus notes. In fact, sprucy overtones with a slightly piney underbite. Surprisingly thin. Maybe slight grapefruit flavor? Comes thru kinda sour.

Living in Bend , where local IPAs abound, and trying to keep the politics out of my feelings about 10 Barrel selling to AB, Apocalypse is not always my first choice. In all fairness, however, it is a solid product that has a huge following. There is a dryness to the finish after the initial rush of hops and then the warmth from the ABV comes thru easily.

22 oz bottle from Mulberry Max into a pint glass. Clear golden orange appearance with a white head and light lacing. Aroma of light hop resin, earth, spruce, light citrus fruits, biscuits and toasted grains. Similar flavor, adding some floral and herbal notes, medium hop bitterness and a touch of malty sweetness. Medium body with a pretty clean feel and a light dry finish. Solid IPA overall.

Bomber from Liquor Max in Loveland. This was a No CO brewery along that long line in the cooler which I had heard of, due to their collab with Stone. Golden orange pour with an off-white head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma has big citrus, very fruity, with pine and some biscuity malt. Taste is of sweet tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit rind, some sprucy pine and some chewy resin. Nothing too malty in the flavor, but no loss there. Medium bodied and quite sticky, with a touch of an alcohol presence. Finishes to the bitter side of bittersweet, with the grapefruit overriding the sweeter tropical fruits. Very hop forward, all for good. Looking forward to the DIPA also picked up. 14.8

Draft at Steins. Clear bright golden color with a lacy white head. Nice pine and citrus aroma, slight pineapple. The flavor has a touch of sweetness well-balanced by assertive hops. Bright flavor with a good hint of bitterness. The mouthfeel is resinous but not too syrupy. Overall a very strong IPA.
