COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade
Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

Pours clear and golden with thick lacey white head. Aroma is subtle for an IPA somewhat floral with a subtle hint of alcohol. Light and crisp on the palate with distinctly bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft at the brewpub. Dark gold in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of dry pinecone, grapefruit, and slightly herbal hop. Flavors are dominated by conifer, sharp citrus and smooth pale malt. Medium bodied with a chunky bitterness. Solid, somewhat classic American IPA.

Pours a translucent yellow into the glass, with a wispy head that leaves wispy lacing. The nose is of mixed tropical citrus, with light malts and sour, citric hops abundant. Flavors follow the aroma profile, with tangerine, orange, lemon-lime and finishes with an assertive piney-spruce hop bitterness. The mouthfeel is active with carbonation, accompanying a medium-full body and complex, satiating palate. Overall, InBev or not, this is a very nice citric take on the traditional West Coast IPA. Kudos! Nuff said.

AB InBev? Could this association prejudice my judgement? More than likely. Perhaps Ill recuse myself... but no. Aroma of crystal malt and citrus. Poured into a nonic, looks fairly nondescript, yellow/orange. It is a bit cloudy with sparse tiny bubbles arising. The flavor, to me, is sweet malt forward heading rapidly to a mild but lingering hop bitterness, theres citrus and pine involved as well. Nothing here captures my imagination or leads me to want another. Ever. In the immensely crowded field of IPAs, this one can get lost. So long.

Poured from a bomber bottle into a pint glass to drink. The beer had a mostly cloudy straw-amber color with a medium sized foamy white head with average retention and good lacing and cling. Its aroma featured prominent citrus notes with some notes of pine, spices, and grass. The taste was a pleasant bitter mix of citrus and grainy flavors with lighter fruit and spice flavors. It had a lively highly carbonated body with a big mouthfeel and a dry body for a nice feel on the palate.
