COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Northwest American-Style IPA. The color comes through as a deep gold with orange hues. Fruity and citrusy hop aroma shines, with hints of pine resin. The four hop flavor dominates, re-enforcing the aroma with more citrus, fruity and piney notes. The malt character is clean and smooth with a unique toasted flavor (thanks to the generous helping of Victory malt), all held together by a firm bitterness. Apocalypse has a medium-bodied mouth feel, finishing crisp and dry. All of this results in a very drinkable IPA.

Hops: Horizon, Centennial, Amarillo, Cascade
Malt: 2-row Pale, Victory, Crystal

Pours a slightly hazy deep gold with a pillowy head which hangs around a long time.......aroma of citrus, sweet malt and pine......taste follows aroma, slight hint of chlorine (it may be me but I've tasted it a lot lately, it may be a hop that just doesn't agree with me) , nicely bittered. Solid.

Cloudy gold pour with a two finger, creamy to fizzy, off white head. Aroma is spicy citrus and candied citrus, sweet biscuit, a little straw, light berry floral, sweet biscuit, a hint of doughy bread, and some sharp citrus. Flavor is sweet biscuit, straw, sweet grass, a hint of thistle flower, sweet and bitter citrus and a little white tea. Light to medium body, dry, somewhat chalky and, just a bit slick middle, light, blanketing and fairly sharp carbonation. Pretty good, solid citrusy IPA with a slight vegetal undertone.

Pours a 1-1/4 finger, mostly white, dimpled head. Hazy gold color. Lots of draping foam coverage. Medium body and ample carbonation. Smells of citrus pith and a little malty do to old smelling hops, though not even 60 days old. Tastes of hop oil, light alcohol, citrus and citrus pith. Maybe a distribution issue where it got to warm or maybe just not that good. I'll probably never know. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
