Fresh, malty aroma. Golden in color with nice whipped-like head. Malty flavor with an underlying sweetness; not very hoppy. Notes: GABF ’09

ozzy70 (1148) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 23, 2017
Sample from bottle at Omaha Beer Fest 2017. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma was citrus, grapefruit, tangerines. Taste was mild bitter, citrus, orange, light hops.

piscator34 (2534) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAY 12, 2017
Draft. Gold in colour with medium carbonation. Fairly classic American pale ale aromatic hop profile with elements of grapefruit, orange, spruce, along with a whiff of pale malt. Flavors are of white grapefruit, cypress, and grainy malt. Light bodied with a firm bitterness. A classic interpretation of the style, but without any major caramel malt influence. Basic, but easy drinking and clean.

chucklemation (1684) - Royal Oak, Michigan, USA - MAY 6, 2017
Pours a copper color without much of a foam head. Aroma is floral hops, some fruit, and bread malts. Flavor is dominated by the floral hops with some bread malts. Softly carbonated, bitter. Not great.

deyholla (11605) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 30, 2017
Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of pine with a slight earthy notes and some grains backing. Flavor combines earthy pine with a light grass note and has a grain backbone.

3.6
Strykzone (7360) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 21, 2017
Pint at Bigelo’s. Clear and copper in color. A robust start could be an IPA. That settled some. Citrus fruit with grapefruit and melon. Caramel. Good.

OldMrCrow (2437) - Seattle, Washington, USA - APR 17, 2017
Tap at Fiddlers.

Intriguing, spicy pale ale that merges new school hops with this spicy rye-like aggressiveness that is quite interesting. Not the best pale ale out there, but better than average and cookie-cutter either.

4.3
onceblind (9676) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 20, 2017
Clear rich golden hue with a rocky foamy ivory head. Rich brilliant nose with a load of floral and citric hops with a fresh picked leafy resin and orange zest. Bright sunshiney hoppy flora/leafy bitter pop on the flavor with a lingering citric hop tone that’s bright yet dry and citric bitter with a stern fresh floral hop nuance. Incredibly hoppy complex and tasty.

jandd1983 (4330) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - MAR 14, 2017
On tap at BCs. It poured a golden color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, florals and hops. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, florals, caramel and hops. Decent.

3.8
IndianaRed (4627) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 10, 2017
On Tap at the Boise BP Classic pale yellow/orange. Decent off-white head. Huge grapefruit citrus aromas. Somewhat less on the flavors, but still, for a pale, nice big fresh hop flavors. Appropriate bitterness. Good hoppy beer that is not so obnoxious.

3.2
slowrunner77 (12044) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 4, 2017
A simple pale ale with enough orange/tangerine to make me wonder if it’s added. low to moderate bitterness with a little sweet n tart. OK.
