Sample at the Memorial Day Deck Beers tasting on 05/27/2013: The beer is a hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, rye and roast malt. The finish is hoppy with a spicy aftertaste. Pretty good overall. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Stunning pour. Wonderful deep amber body with rich copper hues. Tall frothy offwhite head. Sharp rye nose with noticeable pine. Hearty bread malt backbone with a grainy texture and a subtle sweetness. Moderate rye character with a peppery quality that is complimented well with a slightly spicy hop note. Nice citrus character with a note of sharp pine. Very pleased with this pick. bhensonb (15498) - Woodland, California, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours clear copper with a creamy off-white head. Aromas of citrus and rye. Med body or better. Flavor is rye/spice with floral and citrus hop. It is either a bit earthy or a bit more rye malty than expected. It is quite tasty, finishing dry and bitter. kaser (6364) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 28, 2013
Poured from bomber from bine n vine. Dark orange clear beer. Hoppy and sweet Carmel flavor. Malty. For a rye it wasn't what I expected but like it rejtable (2809) - Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2013
Pretty nice beer! Pours dark-ish orange with see head and medium lacing. Nose is quiet, maybe some rye spice. Aromas are some dark bread, some light fruit, earthy hops, nice rye spicing. Pretty good mix. Tastes are light sweet, reasonably heavy bitter. Good body in the mouth with a long lingering dry bitterness.

Deep gold/light copper, slight haze, off-white head. Aroma: caramel malt, light earthy rye, some fruity notes, citrusy hops. Flavor features a very smooth maltiness followed by spicy and citrusy hops.

Draft @ Three Penny Taproom. Tulip shows me a amber with perfect frothy head running over the side of the glass. Medium bodied. Flavor is spicy rye, toasted bready malt. Finish has citrus and caramel malt. Finishes mildly bitter and semi dry with a perfect amount of rye throughout the sip. My second beer from this brewery this weekend. And like the Apocalypse IPA; another nice offering. jdskinns (220) - South Roxana, Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange, amber color with white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, bread, and rye spice. Taste is sweet, fruity, floral hops, and caramel which all blend well with a little bit of rye character. Very impressed with this beer. dimenhetfield (2486) - , Florida, USA - MAR 17, 2013
12oz bottle poured into glass. Nothing really interesting happening in this beer. Just sort of blah all around. Reid (2587) - Salem, Oregon, USA - MAR 10, 2013
22oz from Fred Meyer in N.Salem.
Pours a nice dark orange( darker then the usual IPA) colour with a good sized creamy off white head.
Fresh piney citric hop aromas..some caramel malt but getting no rye.
Again the flavour is good piney/pineapple/grapefruit hops with a smooth caramel backbone..there is maybe a good touch of the rye in the end taste.
Nice on the tongue smooth yet complex.
Nice IPA but not much rye on show
