One of my personal favorites! I wish they had this beer on tap all year long. 10 barrel did something here that is innovative and comes before the customer even knows what they want. Rye IPA’s are tasty, but this one takes the cake. michaelinwa (656) - Bothell, Washington, USA - JAN 29, 2013
Bottle. Pours a medium golden color with reddish tint, average head, huge hop aroma with big citrus notes. Really inviting aroma. Flavor is hop forward, resinous and complex bitterness, with a relative sweet malt background and significant notes of rye. Nice complexity but true to the style. Mouthfeel is substantial and almost chewy. Finishes bitter, but not at all hard on the palate. A new favorite IPA. 19Ei8hty (1166) - Washington, USA - MAY 7, 2013
Stunning pour. Wonderful deep amber body with rich copper hues. Tall frothy offwhite head. Sharp rye nose with noticeable pine. Hearty bread malt backbone with a grainy texture and a subtle sweetness. Moderate rye character with a peppery quality that is complimented well with a slightly spicy hop note. Nice citrus character with a note of sharp pine. Very pleased with this pick. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - FEB 26, 2013
Bomber from trade with michaelinwa. Pours a slightly cloudy orange-amber color with a big frothy head that quickly fades. Leaves lots of lacing. Big fruity aroma but not the normal kind of fruit you get from an IPA. This smells like apricots mostly but also getting mandarin oranges, tropical fruit and rye bread. Taste is big on apricots up front and becomes more complexly fruity through the finish. Big rye spice hit in the finish along with lots of tropical fruit and a moderate bitterness. Body is thin but a nice oily mouthfeel. This is delicious stuff. If there was just a bit more body this would be top notch. jdskinns (220) - South Roxana, Illinois, USA - MAR 17, 2013
Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy orange, amber color with white head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, bread, and rye spice. Taste is sweet, fruity, floral hops, and caramel which all blend well with a little bit of rye character. Very impressed with this beer.

Poured from bomber from bine n vine. Dark orange clear beer. Hoppy and sweet Carmel flavor. Malty. For a rye it wasn't what I expected but like it Dogbrick (12912) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUN 1, 2013
Sample at the Memorial Day Deck Beers tasting on 05/27/2013: The beer is a hazy amber color with a medium off-white head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of resiny hops, rye and roast malt. The finish is hoppy with a spicy aftertaste. Pretty good overall. slowrunner77 (11917) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 17, 2014
"Another winner from 10 Barrel. Hoppy and resinous, iPa like - especially with the added complexity of spicy rye. Aromatic and tasty, medium bodied. Will seek out again..." after4ever (8025) - Mukilteo, Washington, USA - FEB 20, 2013
22. Pours a lightly hazy burnished dark amber with bronzed highlights. Dense creamy tan head that falls away, leaving heavy sudsy film. Lots of drippy lace. Bright intense aromatics, lots of pine, grapefruit, and sparkling peppery rye. Great combination. Creamy medium body with average carb. Caramel, pine, grapefruit, and peppery rye on the mid palate. Fairly clean and light finish. Very nice stuff. douglas88 (9049) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Bomber thanks to Mike. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A great fruity and rye nose. The flavor is big sweetness, spicy rye and hops, oranges, lemon zest. Very good. Super drinkable.
