Nice, hopppy, strong alcohol flavor. Well worth the pint bottle if you can find it.
Have had this bottle and tap. Pours out a amber copper topped with a white head. nose is citrus hops the rye shows up with a grain note. Taste is more of the citrus hops some pith and that rye. I am still not a fan of rye but this one is pretty good. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 3, 2015
Label says "Spring Release Hop Rye’It IPA: We like Rye - you like IPA, so we met in the middle and brewed up Hop Rye’It. Flaked and malted Rye give this beer a full mouthfeel and slight spice while generous amounts of dry hopped Crystal finish the beer on a floral note. ’A damn good beer’ "
Poured into my slim tulip... 1 finger off-white head atop a slightly hazed orange brew.
Nose is fresh and clean hoppiness .. definite floral notes and a bit of citrus... maybe even some citrus blossom... rye malts are pretty heavy.. crispy with a light toast.
Nice bitterness up front.. pale malt and some dry toast mid palate add just enough sweetness to really make the floral note shine.. background citrus hoppiness... long lingering flowery hops on the finish... very long and fresh.
Body is definitely thicker than a standard IPA... also more "slippery" if that is a good descriptor.. sorta thick, but melts away quickly... interesting... and odd. Very nice. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - MAR 21, 2015

One of my personal favorites! I wish they had this beer on tap all year long. 10 barrel did something here that is innovative and comes before the customer even knows what they want. Rye IPA’s are tasty, but this one takes the cake. slowrunner77 (11912) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 17, 2014
"Another winner from 10 Barrel. Hoppy and resinous, iPa like - especially with the added complexity of spicy rye. Aromatic and tasty, medium bodied. Will seek out again..."

I don’t get a bunch of rye here, this seems more like a hoppy red ale. And I’m completely OK with that. Errl (2442) - Plano, Texas, USA - NOV 4, 2013
bottle..Pour is dark gold with a thin white head..Nose is spicy rye, spice, pine hops, citrus..Taste is citrus, rye, pepper, earth. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - NOV 3, 2013
Orange with a white head. The aroma has some nice rye, orange and sugar notes. The flavor is full of toffee, orange, grass, pine and rye. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. AmEricanbrew (6878) - Same Trailer, Different Park, Louisiana, USA - AUG 21, 2013
Clear amber color with ivory head. Stale caramel, tea leaf, rye grain aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Grainy caramel, rye spice flavors with some light pit fruits----ok 5000 (6862) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle:   Pale caramel, hazy, thin sudsy white head, little lacing.   Sweet caramel and toffee nose, slight candied citrus peel.   Fruity bitterness up front, soft caramel/toffee.   Not sure I get any rye, but I am
not complaining.   Lots of citrus peel and pith flavor, but without being overly bitter.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes citrusy, tropical fruit, caramel and toffee, with bitterness that balances well with the
sweetness.   This one was tasty!
