RBSG at 10 Barrel. Dark brown color with a thick tan head. Aroma is lots of roast, some hints of burnt grains, and chocolate malt. I enjoyed the overall taste here? the level of roast is just right for me. Lots of roast, but layered with other flavors. Chocolate and espresso, a bit of underlying rye spiciness. Draught at the brewery. Pours clear black with brown highlights and a medium, frothy beige head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is moderate earthy and spicy rye malt, chocolate and roast malt notes, prunes and earthy hops. Aroma is a touch mild for style, but the flavor is as bold as expected and mildly bitter. Lightly smokey.
