Sampler @ Boise BP. Just a sampler, but hey, I was a little apprehensive about another pepper beer. Golden orange color with a small beige head, the nose does indicate some dirty heat. Roasty, smoky, and hot pepper notes… the taste is more of a bell pepper variety, really honest and fresh pepper taste. Not picking up any real heat, but that’s OK given the name. Such an authentic pepper taste is impressive, especially without blowing up the heat level. Peaceful indeed. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Big goblet tonight at the Boise pub... Fairly clear light amber.. Off-white head has good enough retention.
Nose is pretty pronounced "green chile" aroma... Sorta smells to me like the chiles weren’t ripe yet... This is not a knock, just an observation.. A definite "green/bitter" note envelopes the aromas.
Flavor is more "beery" with plenty of pale maltiness and some background dry toast... the heat really comes in mid palate along with a wave of chile flavor. I guess I wish the chiles were allowed to ripen so they would be more of a sweet flavor instead of the "green jalapeno essence" that comes with early season chiles.
Pretty damn tasty despite the above criticisms... But one goblet was plenty for one sitting.

On tap at Boise pub. Pours out a crisp golden topped with a nice sand head. Nose is great roasted green chilli and a little smoke. Taste is nice very tasty roast green chilli spices and some light malts. A nice little heat on the front but goes away fast very nice. pinkzambia (2073) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 19, 2014
Tap @ brewpub: flavorful - definitely pepper abound. Spiciness. Garden aroma which i actually like better than the taste. Amber color. Hot aftertaste. pushkinwow (2895) - Ottawa, CANADA - FEB 12, 2014
On tap at Bailey’s Taproom while the ladies shopped across the street at Billygoat Vintage - pretty good deal as far as I was concerned. This was unique for sure - Copper hued with a light beige head. Green pepper skins, black pepper seeds and pepper heat that completely overwhelmed anything else. Definitely a pepper beer - would love to use for chilli!

Sampled at KillerBeerFest 5, Bailey’s Taproom. Reddish orange, no head. Smells like green peppers, very vegetable aroma. Taste green, ripe peppers, then caramel, then some heat. Heat builds slowly... pdx77 (1717) - Oregon, USA - OCT 26, 2013
On draught at 2013 Killer Beer Fest 5 at Bailey’s Taproom. Dark brown golden color. Aroma is mild peppers and earthy garden notes. Taste is prominent chili pepper and vegetal notes. Ends with a spicy tickle that blends well with the ale and doesn’t overpower. IndianaRed (5020) - Boise, Idaho, USA - SEP 8, 2013
On tap at the Boise BP. In a snifter a medium orange/amber with a nice sandy head and heavy clumpy lacing. Mostly just a sweet malty aroma. A little peppery spice in the flavor, but the description is good, its a good "pepper starter" beer. Pretty basic "amber" base, fairly sweet and soft, with a medium peppery sizzle from first sip to lingering spicy trailer.
