COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

Chestnut pour with copper highlights and a tall, kinda lumpy ruddy tan head, aroma is caramel, light toffee, light woody notes and floral and light spicy hops. Flavor is caramel, molasses, woody notes, dry hay, light astringent nutty notes, some leafy tannins and herbal and spicy hops. Medium body, a little syrupy on entry, medium carbonation and dry to the finish with a hint of lingering tannin astringency. Decent, but the tannin-ish notes are a little too strong to work.

Pint glass pour at New Bohemia in Uptown with work crew. Deeper ruby/amber color with off white. Aroma is sweeter with caramel and toffee notes. Plenty of malt leading perfectly into the initial taste. First sip is heavy on the malt making me question why this is labeled as an IPA on their menu. The alcohol is presence is definitely felt. A hint of dark fruit and honestly some chocolate qualities. Hoppy bitterness is there at the end. Not one of my favorites but average. I'll keep enjoying the lack of snow.

UPDATED: OCT 29, 2017 This is a pretty damn good winter ale. Caramely and heady. A little less spice profile than a lot of winter ales. Nice beer at 7%! 👍🏼 Bottle from Safeway in Seattle.

Kind of over hopped and/or astringent, not a well made beer, some off flavours that shouldn't be around. 10 barrel portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Brighton Music Hall. Poured a darkish amber. Sweet toffee and alcohol notes. Strangely high alcohol taste for some reason. Something seemed off with this one. Drinkable but not overly enjoyable.

Poured from the tap into a 20 OZ mug at the Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a dark brown amber color with a medium sized white head. The aroma is heavy malt with some biscuit and caramel thrown in for good measure. The taste is similar to the nose and has a nice sweet malt taste with some noticeable alcohol. An Outstanding beer

Pours copper and clear with tan-orange head. Aroma is sweet juicy fruit. Flavor is sweet musty toffee candy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
