COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This delicately balanced Strong Ale starts with dark copper color mixed with slight reddish hues and a light tan head. Big malty aroma with a Munich character give way to a slight caramel & toffee mixed with spicy noble hop aroma, all wrapped together with a medium-bodied mouth feel. German malt flavor profile with slight roasty notes give Pray for Snow a subtle toffee sweetness balanced with spicy hop bitterness and slight alcohol warming. Served appropriately in a classic snifter.

Shared at the Pole’s bonfire party, thanks David! Malty, burnt toast, plum and raisin notes. Nice roasty grain bitterness, fairly harsh hops, but thankfully not severely bitter. Medium body, strong carbonation, mushy mouthfeel, not-so-harmonious aftertaste. 7% alcohol wasn’t well-concealed, a bit too fusely. Overall, not great.

Very nice deep copper pour. Aroma is sweet caramel and a little herbal hops. Malts dominate taste profile with some dates, caramel, hint of toffee, and some citrus. Medium creamy mouthfeel with some spice notes on aftertaste.

This has a winter warmer feel to it. A bit of spice with some malt sweetness, toffee maybe.

Pint at Dram and Draught Raleigh. Good aroma, sweet. Roasty hoppy. Chocolate, caramel, mild grapefruit. Clean orangy brown color, ok head and lace. Moderate sweet and bitter flavor. Medium body oily creamy mouthfeel sweet bitter finish. Huh. Makes some think of a less exciting Arrogant Bastard i

Clear copper/dark amber under a thin off tan head. Rich dark plummy malts and biscuity tones fill the nose with a hint of raisin and earthy herbal bitterness. Full biscuity toast and plummy raisin flavor that’s gently herbal and gently bitter with a semisweet candi sugar finish but it’s so biscuity and piney and herbal that it’s all thrown askew. Just kinda okay. Like a "winter" black IPA.
