COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Acidulated white wheat, raspberries and an inoculation of lactobacillus in the fermenter give this American ale its tart, fruity taste. Low hop levels let the special sour flavors dominate, and rice syrup helps yield a particularly light finish and body. This is a real summer refresher.

This was a can slipped in at the RBSG tasting at the Brewery. Pours red with an off-white with pink tinges. Nose it sour berry. Medium body. Flavor is a good tart beery and the finish is sour. But all this sourness and tartness hangs together to make a delicious beer.

UPDATED: AUG 7, 2017 Colour is reddish pink and it’s very effervescent. Aroma is sour raspberry with strawberry syrup, a touch of funk, and seaweed. Taste is dry raspberry, cranberry cocktail, overripe apple, and funk.

Can shared at rbsg. The beer is a clear bright red with a pink head of foam. Bright red raspberry character. Juicy tart and big jammy notes. Medium body and medium carbonation.

12 oz. can. Canned 06JUL2017. Pours a minimal, rapidly disappearing light pink head, with no lacing, over a slightly hazy reddish (SRM 13) body.....nose is lactic acid, raspberry, light lemon, hints of apple,no hops.......taste is raspberry, with light hnts of sweetness, moderate tart lactic acid sourness, hints of lemon, apple, finishing dry with lingering acid tartness, no hops......mouth feel, medium light body, mild alcohol, medium fizzy carbonation. This is an interesting experiment, with moderate acid, lots of refreshing tones from the combination of acid and fruit with the base beer coming through very nicely. The main flaw is the appearance. Rich red color with bright pink head. A bit silly, actually. Pretty much what it says on the lab. Lots of raspberry over a lacto kettle sour. Easy drinking, for sure. My only question is why this is 6.5% instead of 4%

12 oz single can from Molly’s Spirits. Hazy pink appearance with a pinkish white foam on top. Aroma of fresh raspberries, tart fruits, light lacto funk and a bit of earthiness. Similar flavor, fresh, juicy, tart and fruity. Light to medium body with a crisp feel and a slight dry finish. Pretty refreshing overall.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear ruby red color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet raspberries. The taste however is sour raspberries. An average gose.
