Bomber. Roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate and a bit of coffee. Pours black with half a finger of light brown head that has excellent retention and lacing. Starts with roasted malt and coffee flavors as well as a light body. Finishes smooth and dry with a bit of coffee flavor adding to the roasted malt. Solid black beer. fidelis83 (2567) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - FEB 1, 2018
Hazy, near black pour with a one finger, creamy tan head that has good retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is chocolate, roast, bread, cereal and spicy and earthy hops. Flavor is chocolate, roast, light mineral, toasted nuts, crusty white bread, spicy hops and just a little dark sugar/molasses notes. Lightish body, slightly syrupy feel, light, but sharp carbonation. Not bad. JStax (7453) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - AUG 3, 2017

Pours a dark cola color with a dark beer malt aroma. Taste is clean, crisp, dry amd simple. No distinct flavor, but light and smooth finish. Wish there was more complex flavor but a nice beer for the style. StevieT (2008) - AUSTRALIA - NOV 27, 2016
On tap at Hop City. So tasty, the roasted flavours have a hint of chocolate but not much bitterness, great beer. onceblind (11492) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 19, 2016
Deep dark brownish under a thin ivory cap. Dark malty aroma with a kiss of coffee and roast. Smooth dark flavor that’s got cocoa and a little brown malt with a biscuity base and a kiss of Java. Like an aggressive schwarzbier (note-I didn’t know this was a schwarz when I was rating it).
