On tap @ 10 Barrel. Dark cola colored beer with khaki foam. Roasty and slightly floral aroma. A bit of dark fruit, some bread, and a hint of licorice. There’s a lot more sweetness on the tongue than I expected. Good roasted malt character along with a lot of bread and dough. Slight earthy and floral hops. Not bad. mjg74 (3106) - La Mesa, California, USA - JUN 23, 2015
Bottle from Walmart. Very dark in color. Almost black with some ruby outlines. Sweet roasty nose. Some coffee and sugar scents as well. Roasty with some sweetness up front. A little hoppiness. Some coffee and candy sugar. Pretty smooth. djd07 (14593) - Houston, Texas, USA - JUN 19, 2015

Dark reddish brown colour with a small off-white head.
Sweet malt, dark fruits, cherry and mild alcohol in the aroma.
Sweet malt and sweet dark fruitiness in the flavour. Thinnish.
Absolutely the finest beer I have ever tasted. Founded at a small convenience store in Beaverton, OR. You never know where you will find a great beer, but this one is exceptional. liquidhedonism (289) - Beaverton, Oregon, USA - APR 14, 2015

Rated on 9-14-2013 at Fort Wayne, IN RateBeer gathering. This bottle beer forms a small tan head that is fully lasting, opaque dark brown body and spotty amounts of lacing. The aroma is dark malt, roasted and chocolate. The flavor mimics the aroma. The mouthfeel is light carbonation, water and thin. This beer is light-medium bodied. Overall, a quaffable straight-forward beer that is worth trying. JohnGalt1 (1721) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 5, 2015
12oz from the current seasonal mixed 12-pack... Black brew with khaki head, no real lacing or retention.. All about the malts, a bit of sweetness with some light cocoa and dry toast to add complexity.. light spicy hoppiness.. a bit of fruitiness on the end that makes me think of Dr. Pepper. Okay... I’ve had this brew many times and doubt I would buy it again after giving it a proper go-around... Fizzy, with nothing interesting on the body.
