Absolutely the finest beer I have ever tasted. Founded at a small convenience store in Beaverton, OR. You never know where you will find a great beer, but this one is exceptional. BlackEyePA (573) - USA - JUL 19, 2012
Fing amazing...this is one of my favorites and its hard to set yourself apart in the black ale/stout/porter ranks. This one is special. Good, mild, clean, crisp, malty, not too much anything but perfect balance. beautifula and the smoothest really cathcacr (647) - Oregon, USA - AUG 23, 2009
#563 (Reggie Jackson) I’ve had this on draft at Sassy’s as well as Cassidy’s and impressed both times. Mucho strong flavor, roasty and chocolatey. Thick. Cybercat (5828) - Georgia, USA - JUL 4, 2011
Comes out of the tap a barely translucent reddish sable with a nice pale tan head that leaves behind substantial lacing. Aroma is smoky and malty with a coffee tone and some subtle nuttiness. Smoky roast coffee flavor has nutty, caramel and toffee hints. Texture is smooth and fairly fizzy, rather pleasing. liquidhedonism (289) - Beaverton, Oregon, USA - APR 14, 2015
22 oz bottle. Aroma: malty and roasty, with hints of biscuit, vanilla, and leather. Taste/Palate: thin; starts crisp and sweet; finishes creamy, dry, and slightly astringent.

A fantastic entry to the black beer market: a nearly perfect blend of chocolate, roasted, and coffee notes with an easy finishing body. Hops balance doesn't steal the show from the roast malt nuances that make this one a standout.

This is a very fine beer indeed. I also sampled it at the spring beer and wine fest in Portland. It was in fact the only beer which I felt warranted second and third return visits. Shining star indeed, I can’t wait for it’s debut at belmont station next month. jimmbo123 (44) - Washington, USA - JUL 27, 2009
I tried nearly everything at Fanno Creek Nano Brewfest, and this was one of only 3 that I would buy again. Very smooth, well balanced and mildly flavored. I plan to sit down with a full pint of it sometime soon. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 1, 2010
Bottle via trade. Dark brown pour, little carbonation and a nice dry subtle black cherry nose. Flavor was initially some dark chocolate, malt, hops and slightly creamy and smoky on the finish. Wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, but really enjoyed it. Paired extremely well with my steak tonight. ditmier (1508) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 3, 2010
