Pours a light gold in color with a decent head and lacing, faint aroma is metallic, mouthfeel is decent for style and is the best part about the beer, flavor is metallic and not much else, good looking in the glass so just leave it there.

From old tasting notes. Deep honey gold color with a small bubble carbonation and a large creamy white head. Decent ale-like malt nose with a hint of sour apples. Initially, a sweet ale-like flavor. Zesty midtaste comes across and leads to a bitter hop finish. Tart bittersweet finish.

Part of a flight at the brewery. It’s pretty much a good macro golden ale..

Tap at Genesee Brewhouse. Almost nose nose. A bit of grain and fruit. Fruity, sweet flavor with some corn. Pale golden color. Not much happening. Drinkable I guess.

Poured from a bottle into pint glass Appearance - a golden straw color which formed a large head upon pouring which faded quickly Smell - Sweeter, with no detectable hop aroma Taste - A bit of a corn flavor with not mush hop spice. Sweeter then the traditional "domestic" brew. Mouthfeel - Mid range in thickness/viscosity, but with a good amount of carbonation for the style/ Overall - Nothing to outstanding, but decent for its price (picked in a variety 12 pack for $8). For the price probably better then the standard domestic of its class.

Bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a medium golden with a decent white head. Aroma of grains, corn, and dough. Taste of sweetness and malts. This light to medium bodied brew I snot bad.

2.3
yesyouam (1016) - Fairport, New York, USA - MAY 5, 2013
12 Horse Ale is a clear, sparkling, light golden ale with no head-- just a swirl of small bubbles. It has an aroma of sweet malt and corn. It’s medium light bodied with a starchy finish. It tastes sweet and corny. There’s a rubbery, sulfurous funk to it that identifies it as a Genny. There seems to be a slight nuttiness to it. It’s funky and sweet, but I could have more than one in the ice-cold stubby format.

Tastes like a Macro. Watered Down and Little Taste. Carbonated and sour aftertaste. Must face some tough choices to pick it. Below average.

12 ounce bottle. cool grenade style/sized bottle. Tastes a bit like Genny Cream but not as sweet. Body is a slightly sweet though. Wouldn’t rush out and buy again

2.5
b3shine (9150) - Indiana, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Bottle to pint. Looks fine; a transparent gold with white head and ample carbonation. Smells and tastes semi-sweet and doughy. Average on the palate. Better than I expected.

2.3
UDBeernut (2883) - Saint Johns, Florida, USA - OCT 28, 2012
Stubby bottle pours pale straw yellow capped by white head. The thin head has staying power from the gobs of carbonation. Nose and taste are all cornmeal. Light bitterness and carbonation lead to a crisp mouthfeel. Body is a tad thin.
