4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
DATE: April 17, 2017... OCCASION: first practice with the 3/4 graders, and now watching the Cavs work the Pacers in Game Two... GLASSWARE: Duvel tulip... pours a half-glass of tremendously dense, light amber (almost apricot) body with an intricate webbing of lace, snow-white head that halves the glass handsomely... huge grapefruit and mango, secondary lemon, thick resin, bright pine--with a crisp malty base, sporting doughy freshness... big, bold mouth feel, with sharp bitterness on the teeth and resounding finish....my mouth is still tingling long after sipping... definitely a slow sipper masquerading as a harmlessly pleasant pale ale... as advertised, the fruitiness caresses the tastebuds, with a pounding bitterness that is commensurate with the ABV.... this is smooth like Kyrie and strong like LeBron--a winning combination... the later the drink goes, the boozier it becomes... a gift from Tom Claeys, and one I am glad to have saved for a spring break evening.... one of the better double IPAs I have had....
Pours a hazed golden with white head. Dank sticky but clean hop flavor. Piney, mildly sweet with a clean finish. Piney hop aroma.

On tap at Festibière d'hiver de Gatineau. Hazy golden body with a thin, white foamy head. Well balanced hoppy taste with malty, melon, grapefruit, and pineapple hints. Its hoppy taste carries citrusy and herbal notes. Ends with a long, moderately warming, bittersweet finish. Lubiere (14353) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 3, 2018
A hazed golden DIPA with a thin white head. In aroma, nice biscuit malt with resinous herbaceous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, grapefruit pulp, alcohol warmth, very nice and classic. dmac (6646) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - DEC 8, 2017
Tallboy can from Z at Havana. Poured a chill hazed gold with an average sized frothy mostly white head. Aroma/flavor of bitter citrus rind, grapefruit, guava, nectarine, grain husk, crusts. Stronger carbonation, fuller mouthfeel. Really decent for an older can. Metalchopz (3711) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 11, 2017
Enjoyed in Vermont in October 2016, visiting friends. Pours a hazy golden colour with a warm creamy-foamy head, long lasting and lots of lacing. Herbal aromas with lots of oranges. Again, herbal tasting with the orange notes. Not too bitter, but a nice dryness, all well-balanced by the fruitiness. So easy to drink. Quite a nice DIPA.

Can. Slightly cloudy amber with a frothy light beige head. Nice biscuit malt undertone with an overlay of mild citrus pulp, papaya and grapefruit rind, fairly bitter, dry, full body and moderate carbonation, booze cuts through on finish along with a nice dose of resin. A surprise beer bought by my dad.
Slightly hazy light golden color. Earthy pine and light citrus and tropical fuits on the nose and in the flavor. Pretty damn tasty beer. L84beer (3) - - JUL 29, 2017 does not count
Solid effort, with nice balance between hop and malt flavors. Could be a little bolder in flavor and aromas, and a little smoother in mouth feel.

On tap at downtown grocery in Ludlow. Pours a crisp amber. Fresh grass and malt on the nose. Heavy bitterness, more malt than hop. Nice crisp finish. Good body but lacking on flavor.
