2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
First of all it´s smells really bad. It doesn´t tast like an IPA at all, which wouldnt be a problem if it wasn´t so goddamn bland and boring. Yeasty, some hops in the palate, but really inoffensive so it tastes like nothing at all. I didn´t finish this one, which, considering the notorious cheapass that i am, says a lot.
This is such a great beer and is extremely refreshing on a hot summer day. If you have not tried this I recommend that you do so. Aggiebob (1207) - Huntsville, Alabama, USA - JUL 31, 2015
Bottle. Orange gold with an off-white head. Aroma is hoppy citrus and yeast. Slight bitterness on the finish. GIJOE (1249) - North Berwick, Maine, USA - JUN 13, 2015
Can from Maltitude in Columbus, GA. Hazy orangey amber pour, off-white head. Aroma is yeasty with citrus hop notes and some skunkiness. Flavor is lightly sweet and fruity like watered down orange juice. Thin, average.

Keg at 1516. Pours Hazy Orange Amber with White head. Notes of tropical hop flavour with a nice grainy and wheaty body. Pretty pleasant and full bodied. Marko (5849) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - MAY 9, 2014
On tap at 1516. Murky, lovely full murky amber body with a lasting white head. Creamy, hoppy aroma, notes of citrus fruits. Reminded non beer geek friends of mine of sirnica/pinca/uskršnja pogača - a type of panettone-like (yet emptier) Easter sweet bread thing. The taste, however, is a one way lane, the nice citric hopiness making a repeat appearance in a body that’s lighter than it deserves before leading into a bitterish finish. Yeah, I kinda agree that it’s more of an APA than IPA, and anything rye might’ve given is way too subdued for its own good. After trying Victory again, the Styrian Pils & now this... has 1516 taken a slight turn for worse? I really do hope it hasn’t. Now I’m a bit sad I didn’t order Eejit, another favorite, as well - to check. Oh well.

Draft at the brewpub. Hazy medium orange with a medium to thick, tan disappearing head. Smells of grapefruit, wheat, yeast and orange peel. Some tropical fruit too. Medium dry oily body with medium carbonation. Orange zest is noticeable on the taste with malt, grapefruit, bread and caramel. Some tropical fruity hops and rye. Decent enough rough IPA. I would maybe call it an APA but that’s just me Erasmus_ro (3106) - Alabama, USA - APR 7, 2014
Tap @ brewpub, 02/04/14. Pours a hazy dark orange with a good-sized, thick, yellowish brown head. Aroma is a very nice tropical fruitiness. Taste is not very bitter. Light grapefruit, rye and caramel, fairly spicy. Rye rises up to the on the aftertaste. Not very IPA-like. Geiserich (4542) - Linz, AUSTRIA - MAR 10, 2014
Draught: Hazy amber color, off-white head. Aroma is yeasty, wheaty, aroma hops. Flavor is ligh malty, light fruity (cotrus), fresh, hop pellets. Not very complex, not very IPA like. Saeglopur (2240) - Vienna Woods, AUSTRIA - MAR 8, 2014
Draught at the brewpub. Dark orange/brownish, cloudy body, with small, creamy, white head, that quickly disappears completely. Shy aroma of grapefruit, orange, rye, some tropical fruits. Tastes of rye, bubblegum, bitter orange zest, passion fruit, mango, biscuit. Mouthfeel is medium, slick, with a low carbonation and it finishes bitter, with orange zest and tropical fruits. While the nose is nothing special, the taste is really good, unique, with lots of interesting aromas, a nice smoothness and a good hop bite at the same time. Tasty!
