On tap, 10/2011: Light orange colour. A very hop-forward pale ale, citrussy, dank and fruity hops with little maltiness. The hopping level is actually comparable to the Hop Devil IPA, lots of oomph - but the beer is overall a little lighter and more sessionable. Very dry and crisp, low on carbonation. Very nice beer!

Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark golden amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty hoppy grapefruit aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter grapefruit flavor. Has a fruity malty hoppy bitter finish.

Keg at brewpub. Vivid murky orange, thick creamy head. Big hoppy grapefruit/orange nose. Palate is bitter, slightly lemon, long dry finish. Massive hop flavour. Lovely and refreshing.

On draught at brewpub. Pours a dense, deep Oopper color with white head. Hoppy and slightly yeasty aromas. Hop forward flavor balance with underlying smooth maltiness. Great change of pace from this city’s overly filtered lagers and alleged Marzens.

På fat på 1516. Orange öl med vitt ganska lätt skum. Maltsötma tillsammans med humlebeska i doften. Bra harmoni mellan det söta och den citrusbittra humlen. Nog min favorit av de testade ölen på 1516.

Geiserich (4520) - Linz, AUSTRIA - DEC 12, 2011
Druaght: Hoppy aroma of vegetables. Hazy amber color, off-white head. Flavor is light malty, light fruity (citrus) and mainly hoppy (herbsm citrus). Medium bitter finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours hazy orange with a small, creamy and dense head. Aroma is mild fruity. Bitter, fruity, light yeasty and peachy to grapefruity. Bitter and mild yeasty finish.

Marko (5711) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - DEC 4, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Hazy amber-orange body, off white head. Sweetish herbal-chalky hoppy nose. Fruity-mango and herbal hoppy taste. More complex than expected. Ends slightly too dry, missing some malty base to hold te bitterness in check, but without doubt a good beer.

3.4
ogivlado (7824) - Zagreb, CROATIA - NOV 24, 2011
Draught at the brewpub. Dark orange/amber coloured, small white head, hoppy caramellish nose. Sweet malty, bitter hoppy and fruity with notes of caramel and intensive bitterness. Dry bitter citrusy hoppy finish. Pleasant one.

Doesn’t compare to the hop devil. Still a decent beer. Low rating is due to the comparison. Not as hoppy as one would expect.
