3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
A pleasant hoppy bitter, with a nice wooly finish. It’s nice to have some interesting fresh hoppy tastes in my mouth after a trough of boring bitters.

Cask at the Cleveland Arms, London. Pours clear gold with a light, white foam. Doughy malts throughout, some white sugar, mellow citrus, faint straw bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet finish with some light, dry hay and sugary dough. Basic, tasty. saxo (18738) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 6, 2011
Bottle. Nice frothy head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are sour brett, stable, malt, fruits, flowers and hops. Not sure brett is intentional but I like it. berkshirejohn (6522) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2011
Cask at the White Rock Hotel, Hastings. Straw with a thin white head; the aroma is grainy and faintly citrus - I’m not sure at this point whether this is a Golden Ale or a cask lager; quite thin in the mouth, but with an assertive flavour - some indistinct sour fruit and some strong grains, with a touch of honeyed sweetness; then a dry finish. Interesting, but I don’t think I’d venture beyond one of these.
