Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige head. Nose is spicy to a cloying degree, cinnamon and vanilla blended. Rich body, solid sweet roast and then again this load of spices that I honestly have a very hard time dealing with. Very difficult to drink. 080916 rxeight (3251) - Illinois, USA - APR 29, 2016
2016 Barrel Massacre as bourbon bitches bank. (also had it at ’15 BM and FOBAB) cinnamon and chocolate slight touch of spice on back. barrel seems to give it a more creamy mouthfeel and seems to calm down the flavors to make them a bit smoother, but doesn’t do much anywhere else. Almost identical to the base, Which isn’t a bad thing. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - MAR 10, 2016

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours darkest brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate and bourbon. Malty and chocolatey flavor with some bourbon warmth before a roasty and chocolatey finish.

On tap: The aroma consists of moderate coffee, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and faint pepper. It’s a dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head. The flavor starts with a moderate dark chocolate and a touch of molasses. The finish has maple syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, and coffee. It’s full bodied with mild carbonation and a sticky mouthfeel. nimbleprop (8761) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 9, 2015
12oz bottle pours an inky black with some creamy, beige head. Nose is real cool, the cinnamon is right at the front but not abrasive, earthy, peppery, aromatic, the rest of the nose has molasses and licorice, plenty of malt, vanilla, soft wood notes. Flavor is extremely well blended, heavy molasses, some coffee bean, some chocolate, a little cola, vanilla, cinnamon, black pepper. Extremely well balanced and easy to drink. craftbeerart (3) - KL, MALAYSIA - JUL 26, 2015 does not count
Bottle shared with the guys here in KL recently--full of cocao, coconut, caramel with hints of vanilla aroma once the beer "warm up"--velvety, silky smooth but never overpowering with very well hidden abv---very tasty. A big thank you to the man himself--thank you Mr. Fox. This is a non-hyped up stout worth looking out for--grab it if you see one.
