CBC2016S01, pours black with a small head, aroma of chocolate, caramel, coffee, toffee, whiskey, flavor of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, coffee, moka, medium to full bodied, Great jercraigs (11377) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 18, 2018
2018-03-03. Black body with a modest brown head. 3++ Aroma is moderately alcoholic, dry lightly alcoholic aroma has a quality I want to call whisky but isn't really. Light dark fruit accents. 7+ Flavour has rich dark malt core, sweetish up front it finishes lightly alcohol and rel bitter. Alcohol is quite restrained considering. 7+ Full bodied palate, good carbonation. Decent but kind of disappointing at the same time. I preferred the Hunter. 7/4/7/3/16 On tap at BrewDog Bethnal Green, London.

Brewdog Shoreditch. Keg. Opaque black - brown beer, slightly oily looking. Small tan head. Palate is smooth and a little viscous. Modest fine carbonation. Rich dark chocolate laden malts, some chocolate cake and a vague mint vibe. Dark malt cream and a trace of fudge. Smooth finish. Simple but tasty stuff.
Keg at BrewDog, Clapham, London in Feb 2018 - Opaque black in colour. Slight tan head. Chocolate and coffee aroma. Very malty; chocolate, coffee, roasty malts, grainy, caramel/toffee, vanilla, liquorice notes. Spicy notes. Fruity; dark fruit notes, raisins. Oily. Smooth. Sweet-bitter roasty chocolate and coffee malty spicy fruity throughout. Disguises ABV well. Decent. (2018-02) The_Osprey (10147) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 23, 2018
Keg at Brewdog Clapham Junction as 18th Street Bitches' Bank, 12%. Pours an opaque black with a small ring of brown head, dotted lacing. Aroma is chocolate syrup, liqueur, vanilla, chocolate gateau. Pretty nice. Little vegetal note that I think has more to do with the lines here than the beer. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is again vegetal broccoli, spinach (wtf BD Clapham?) earthy chocolate, vanilla, little papery and woody. This BD doesn't serve its beers right IMO and you expect more at £18 a pint but it's a fun beer. (8-4-7-3-15=3.7)

UPDATED: JAN 23, 2018 200 ml draft at Mikkeller Bangkok. Appearance is dark opaque black with a bit of sticky tan froth which recedes quickly, but leaving lacing on glass. Aroma is dark chocolates, thick and oozing out ... followed by similar tastes and a mouthfeel like chewing on a dark chocolate lava cakes! Bittersweet chocs, a little coffee, lots of brandy booziness, dried dark fruit in the mix of smooth, oiliness in the mouth. Yummy! DrSilverworm (10000) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JAN 8, 2018
