Pours deep caramel with medium off-white head. Aroma is of resin, fruits, soap. Taste is of bitterness, caramel, alcohol. Palate: Medium-full bodied. Soft carbonation. Overall: Problematic recipe / brewing yield. davidezdonz (487) - Hong Kong, HONG KONG - JUN 14, 2016
A 22 fl oz bomber with no best by or bottled on date. Poured into a Duvel tulip glass. It poured a hazy deep amber orange colour with a one finger cream coloured head with decent retention and nice spotty lacing. Aromas are strong citrus notes with orange and grapefruit rind combined with lots of pine and caramel sweetness. Tastes of orange, approaching candy orange, with a good amount of grapefruit zest, pine and caramel sweetness. Just over medium bodied with moderate carbonation. For some reason, I had it in my head that this was going to be like pseudoSue or Zombie Dust, but this was completely different and not in a bad way. Deal With The Devil was still a great pale ale with a good balance between citrus fruit and malt. bursprak (3183) - Aarhus, DENMARK - MAY 30, 2016
Sample @ CBC’16, Copenhagen. Red session. Light hazy dark golden pour with frothy head. Notes of pine sap, stone fruits, grape skin and some light mangoes. mathieuc (3958) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 25, 2016
Pours a clear golden with a medium offwhite head that leaves some lacing. Nose is really boozy but there is stil some good tropical fruits in there. Taste is strangely sweet and caramel-like with more fruits and alcohol. Moderately bitter. Damn that alcohol and that out of place burnt caramel. Body is sticky and syrupy. Way too boozy. Meh. czar (9009) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 20, 2016
bottle shared by mathieuc, thanks bro! pours unclear dark orange with a small creamy off-white cap, reviving and leaving nice lacing. doughy meaty mangoes, borderline over-ripened; buttery caramel, stenchy berries, sweet pine gum, clean yeast. moderate carbonation, medium body - oily; semi-sweet spicy-piney finish. boozy, piney and buttery. o-k.
