Here is a fathers toast to his son. Brewed with cocoa nibs and lactose, Hunter boasts a creamy texture and rich chocolate flavor. Vanilla, roast, and caramel sweetness are met with a bright hop bitterness. Complex enough to pair with dinner or dessert. Suave enough to skip the meal altogether. A chip off the old block, alright.

This draft brew from a restaurant was served at room temperature and poured a very small sized head of foamy finely sized brown colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind no visible carbonation opaque black brown colored body and a poor lacing. The mild aroma was brown malt. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium mild roasted malt aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of roasted malt and brown malt. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again.

16oz can pours a muddy, opaque black with some foamy, brown head that faded fast. Nose has burnt toast, heavy molasses, black pepper, some tar, some cinnamon. Flavor is sweet with molasses and licorice and caramel, a little cinnamon, some condensed cola, some soy/umami notes. Full bodied, sweet, sticky finish.

No head, limpid near-black beer; end of bottle solid yeast. Chocolate, cacao, sweet liqueur. Ink, chocolate, wood, wry - especially in the finish and aftertaste. Faraway sweetness, chocolate-y. Some Asian herb, and incense, once warmed up, making it better indeed. Lean MF, bit empty despite some viscosity. Compared to the Vertical Series offshoots, not very interesting, bit poor. Thanks for sharing, guys!

Vanilla and dark chocolate aromas, some lactose and roasted malts as well. Taste is dark chocolate syrup, tangy lactose, and vanilla. Charred roasted malts and bitter hops in the finish.

Deep dark brown, extremely opaque, darker tan head, minimal. Lively sweet chocolate, some fruity esters. A bit of tobacco and earth. Pleasantly bitter initially fading into a well balanced sweetness. Lingering bitterness again through the long finish. Chewy, heavier body, some oil. Alcohol is fairly muted. Not much carbonation. Quite tasty.

Bottle, thanks Greg. It poured a black color with a tan head. The aroma was of milk chocolate, vanilla, coffee, cocoa, malts and some roast. The taste was similar to the aroma with more chocolate, cocoa, coffee, vanilla and roast. Really good.

It pours super dark with a small brown head. The aroma has dark roast, lactose, anise and vanilla. It has a full body with light carbonation. The taste has the aroma notes and has almost a smooth char. Really nice. Big thanks to gregwilsonstl for sharing this one.
