Rated on 10-13-2017. (Can) The appearance is a small foamy, fizzy cream head that mostly diminishes, hazy amber body, fast rising carbonation, and spotty lacing. The aroma presents citrus hops, bitter hops, grass, grapefruit, orange, toffee, tropical fruits, earthy, caramel, and malt. The flavor is light-medium bitter, citrus hops, juicy, grapefruit, orange, toffee, sweet, caramel malt, and a semi-dry finish. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and syrupy. This beer is medium bodied. The flavors come together very well making this a refreshing tasting beer. It has a bitter and semi-dry aftertaste. It is a beer worth trying and a beer that I would purchase again.

12oz can from Beer Bazaar in Hainesville. No can date. Copper orange pour with an off-white head leaving spotty lacing. Aroma has tangy citrus and tropical fruits, sweet toffee and some pine. Taste is of sweet toffee malt, citrus, some chewy pine resin and a touch of pineapple. Much more hop forward in the nose; it does not follow through. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. The blend is decent, if sweet malty, and there is only subtle alcohol presence. Finishes to the sweet side of the bitter-sweet scale. Was quite psyched up by the hoppy promise of the nose, then the much maltier taste was a let down. 13.6

Pour on tap at the brewery, murky orange-red pour with white head, aroma brought notes of caramel, toffee, some orange, grapefruit and slight tropical notes with a touch of floral hops. Taste was a mix of caramel, toffee, more sweet orange, grapefruit notes into a bit of syrup, slight spice, finishing bitter.

JPDIPSO (6262) - Wauwatosa, USA - DEC 21, 2016
Amber liquid with a modest, somewhat stable, light cream colored head. Caramel and toffee sweetness along with floral and citric hops, and a touch of alcohol. Sweet start with a nice malt backbone. Some honey and citrus work their way in. Over-ripe fruit later along with a bit of astringency. The first ¾ of this is great, the little miscues toward the finish and linger drag this down a bit (methinks the alcohol is a somewhat the cause). The longer it sets the more the biting parts seem to dissipate and this turns into a hoppy doppelbock.

355ml can. No mention of the abv on the label. It pours amber with a white head. The aroma is decidedly orange and pineappley. The flavor is decent. Sweet an malty, yet aggressively hoppy and bitter. Showing an old-school ipa character that Three Floyds had become known for. It is a DIPA born in the midwest. It is boozy and sweet but in this sub zero weather, tolerable.

markducommun (1212) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 17, 2016
Very slightly hazy orange-gold, light white head. Bright orangey citrus, honey, some floral notes. Lightly bitter, fairly sweet. Slight bit of oiliness, medium body. Fair bit of carbonation. Alcohol isn’t particularly upfront, but not to buried either. Good.

ciocanelu (2858) - Timisoara, ROMANIA - NOV 25, 2016
Slightly hazy dark orange color with slightly off-white head. Aroma has some booze and overripe oranges and grapefruit. Taste has oranges, some sweet malt in the background which combines quite well with the hops but the finish is quite dusty, earthy with medium bitterness. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a decent DIPA but it lacks some aromatic hops.
