Long famous for its innovative prowess in the development of new beers, the 1936 Bière brewery also leads in the field of climate protection.

Clear golden. Bready, lemony smell. Taste is less interesting, a fairly basic lager. Decent though.

Bottle. Pours a light gold colour with a fluffy white head, light malt aroma, the taste is light bitterness with a touch of sweetness with a dry bitter finish.

On tap in The Gallery NW6. Yellowish fizzy lager. Slightly imprecise flabby finish, bot especially clean or refreshing. I’ve had mixed experiences with this brewery, this one wasn’t great.

330ml bottle from The Bottle Bank. Clear pale straw/golden-yellow colour with one finger white head, some retention. Light aroma, cereal grain, grass, pale malt. Standard lager taste, sweetish malt, subtle bitter finish. Nice. Refreshing and easy drinking but nothing remarkable.

Dorada muy clara. De fina burbuja y espuma blanca. Aroma escaso y cereal. En boca mantiene el tono malteado, no del todo equilibrado por el lúpulo, que solo aporta algo de amargor. Buen punto de gas, que la hace refrescante. Poco mas. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle from Mitchell’s Wines, Meadowhead - Clear yellow body, pillowy white top. Rather typical nose, a bit of grassiness, sugar and cereal. Taste is pleasant enough, no real characteristic that makes it have a WOW factor, and not much on the way out either. Refreshing, but bland.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is floral, mildly grainy, some herbs, mild toffee and earth. Flavour is a bit dusty with some slight grains, grass, herbs, toffee and a bit earthy notes.

Bottle in Century Club. Pretty much a bog standard macro style lager. Clear pale amber, white head. Nose is barley grain, lager yeast, very very slight straw, but not much grass or bolder flavours. Flavours as above, nothing to see here.

Bottle. Only my second rate from Switzerland and the last beer I tried in 2014. Golden appearance with a small head.Creamy smooth texture and easy to drink. Slightly above average for this style but not exactly finishing the year on a high.

Excellent crisp clean tasting lager. The flip top bottles somehow taste better than the normal ones. A good stock beer.
