Tap at Mrs Parmas. Poured a nice copper with a small off white head. Nose doesn't give off too much - caramel grapefruit hops. Taste is much better. Heaps of caramel, grapefruit and biscuit malt back bone. The grapefruit bitterness lasts nicely. Very malt driven. This a great amber really fresh too!

Pours a lovely dark amber with a thin white head that fades quickly.
Nose is lovely. Pretty hop forward, with some sweet mandarin citrus that I think is Centennial but I’m not sure. There’s also a bit of sweet caramel there too which is nice.
Hop character doesn’t come through so much on the taste. Taste is pretty sweet, with a bit of citrus hop bitterness on the attack, some really gorgeous toffee notes on the mid palate which go really nicely with the sort of mandarin flavour I get and then a nice, slightly bitter finish with a really tiny bit of smoke which is great.
I didn’t really believe the hype, but this lives up to it. This is a really excellent beer, I’m just sorry I didn’t try it fresher.

Clear brown color, tan head. Malty, sweet, hoppy taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Fruity aftertaste. Sweet, fruity, hoppy scent.
UPDATED: OCT 9, 2016 Baden Powell ontap (19-Jun-13) - Pine flower hop light malt aroma. Red brown colour, good head and nice ringed lacing. Nutty biscuit malt flavour. A bit thin but l guess it also makes it a quicker drink. Light bitter nutty finish and light caramel hop aftertaste. Dredd (939) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - MAY 8, 2013
Noice, very pleasing aroma which is quite grassy. Flavour is good mix of upfront sweet honey-ish malts that finishes with some almost chestnut characteristics. Finish is a good mid-length finish.

Pours pretty much just, brown with a thin layer of bubbles on top. Aromatics leap out at ya! Herbs and grass- very nice ’green’ characters... Lots of fresh hops up front. Really leafy grassy hops with little bitterness. There’s a nice malt underpinning too- biscuity and persistant but soft. Altogether very approachable beer. I was hoping for a bit more intensity but still very good. Maris (1513) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - FEB 1, 2013
From a 330ml bottle on 1/2/2013. Pours a clear amber with a small head. the aroma is very curious for an amber ale - quite floral and fruity, with just a touch of toasty malt. The flavour is also curiously sweet and fruity, with lots of toffee malt in the background. The bitterness is subdued but works well in combination. A unusual amber which is very enjoyable. pandorasbox (8) - AUSTRALIA - JUN 22, 2012 does not count
Brown colour. Pours a nice head. Malt flavours are strong. Very enjoyable and would suit most pizzas. mkel07 (5963) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 6, 2011
330ml bottle. Big thick tan head made up of tiny bubbles. Dark brown tea colour with aromas of roasted malt. The flavour is enough to keep you coming back for more. Mild on the palate but good overall. gam (3924) - brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JUL 17, 2011
