Pours hazy red with dense off white foamy head. Aromas of nutty malts, fresh wort, grain grass and citrus. Med body, light hop character balanced bitterness with a burnt toffee crisp malt character finishing nutty sweet and near chalky.

A solid US-style amber ale with plenty of pine resin and citrusy (oranges, grapefruits) hop notes on the nose and tongue on top of a sweet and toasty caramel malt base. Beady chewy palate with a decent dry hop bitterness that satisfies. Pours translucent copper-amber with a medium cream-white head. (330ml bottle).

From bottle in tulip. Pours rich amber with off white head and dank, earthy aroma that’s a mix of hop and malt. Taste is a nice balance of these two as well with a bit of bitterness in the finish. Also sampled off the tap at the brewery...very nice brew.

On tap @ Taps KL. Dark amber color with little white head. Aroma has malty sweetness. Taste is sweet, too, and has berries. Palate is a bit flat. Still a good beer.

330mL bottle from Slowbeer Very nice looking beer - deep amber, holds a dense tan head. Excellent nose; lots of resiny, piney, citrus hop, well counter-balanced with an equal measure of toasty, roasty, nutty, toffeed, lightly chocolatey malt. Full bodied, smooth, nice chewy texture, subdued carbonation. Delivers plenty of biscuity, chocolatey, toasty malts, with lashings of spicy, piney, citrusy hops. Bitterness is big but in great harmony. Couldn’t ask for more in an American Amber!

Bottle at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a clear medium amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is malt citrus resin hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet witn a smooth malt citrus woody resin hop palate. Medium bodied witn soft carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2017 Bottle from Plonk (Jan 2014). Dark reddish-amber, small tan head, rich toffee/caramel, citrus/grapefruit hops, thick, syrupy texture, long sweet finish. Nice. Re-rated (Jun 2017), bottle from Plonk. Reddish brown, sweet toffee/caramel, citrussy, high bitterness. Delicious.

A dusty, nutty, sweet aroma gives way to similar flavours on the palate. There’s also a nice hippy bite in the mouth, but the sweet aftertaste is a bit much for me.

Very nice summer beer. A hoppy amber ale with strong citrus and toffee flavours. Good carbonation. Pours a deep amber with a slightly tan head. A very nice beer
