Bottle at Nate’s Birthday Bash, thanks to EdKing. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a fluffy white head. The nose is spice, bread and yeast. The taste is sweet orange pith, dough, spice, yeast, earth and some alcohol warmth. Medium body, lively carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Ok, but doesn’t do much for me. madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - NOV 9, 2011

Nate2Gs Birthday Bash at Kernel. Cheers to Ed King for this one. Hazy gold beer, good off white head. Light palate - a little soft and a little dry. Sweetish caramel malt. Just a bare trace of hops. Soft froth finish. Ok if somewhat one dimensional.
Bottle at Nate’s Massive Kernel Birthday Piss-Up. Pours a lightly cloudy gold with a white head. Malty aroma. Very sweet flavor, lots of malt. Notes of caramel, sugar, doughy bread. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more sugar, bread, honey and caramel. Very sweet but fun stuff. harrisoni (18820) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 5, 2011
Bottle at Kernel Brewery. Thanks to Ed King. Cloudy gold lasting white head. Yeasty. Its a belgian french biere de garde very earthy on finish. Ok if not great. EdKing (2610) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 13, 2011
UPDATED: AUG 14, 2011 Bottle from La Fromagerie, Marlebone Village. Pours slightly hazy orange with a huge foaming head. Nose is a beautiful deep buttery toffee malt aroma. Like buttered popcorn, but deeper and more roasted. Also some cereal and freshly baked biscuit in there. Taste is crisp buttery malt and subtle grassy hop bitterness. Would go great with a gooey french cheese. (not sure why this is down as a whitbier. If you ask me it’s abbey tripel)
